It needs the Cloud Foundry CLI logged in and the Space Developer role for a CF deployment, and the MTA Build Tool underneath for the descriptor it deploys.","when_not_to_use":"Specific to MDK metadata projects — nothing here builds or deploys a CAP service or a plain Fiori app. Closed-source, under SAP's own developer licence rather than a public repository."},"links":{"npm":"https://www.npmjs.com/package/@sap/mdk-tools"},"identity":{"license":"SAP Developer License"},"source_available":false,"compat":{"runtimes":["node"]},"type_properties":{"distribution":{"value":["npm"],"sources":[{"url":"https://www.npmjs.com/package/@sap/mdk-tools","title":"@sap/mdk-tools — README","checked":"2026-10-18","quote":"npm install -g @sap/mdk-tools"}]}},"provides":[{"capability":"capability:deployment-operator","what_it_does":"`mdk build`, `mdk deploy`, `mdk migrate` and `mdk validate` from the command line, for Mobile Development Kit metadata projects specifically.","sources":[{"url":"https://www.npmjs.com/package/@sap/mdk-tools","title":"@sap/mdk-tools — npm","checked":"2026-09-16","quote":"CLI tools for the mobile development kit (MDK) — build, deploy, migrate, and validate MDK metadata projects from the command line."}]}],"provenance":{"discovered_via":[{"source":"source:npm"},{"source":"source:discover"}],"first_seen":"2026-09-16"},"history":[{"date":"2026-09-16","field":"entry","from":"TODO scaffold from place.mjs (artifact_type: cds-plugin, ecosystem: cap, one_line only)","to":"researched from the npm record: artifact_type corrected to cli (it is a standalone command run from the shell, not something cds.requires loads), ecosystem corrected to btp to match the other MDK-related artifacts already in the graph (sap-mdk-mcp-server, sap-samples-cloud-mdk-samples).","reason":"place.mjs scaffolds a stub with guessed defaults;
