The data product generator transfers BW InfoProviders into local table files in a dedicated BW inbound space of [SAP Datasphere](artifact:btp-datasphere), where a data product is still created by hand in the data sharing cockpit; the query template generator turns BW query metadata into an analytical model template in the HANA space; the BW migration assistant, planned to start in Q4 for BW NetWeaver, takes the data flows and transformations below them, and is shown on slides only. That is the [loading a warehouse](capability:warehouse-loading) edge, and the demos cover the BW/4HANA cockpit, the ABAP program for the NetWeaver GUI, mass generation with semantics from the BW modeling tools, and the flattening operator for sharing data outside SAP.","short":"BW modernisation strategy and tools in SAP Business Data Cloud","explains":[{"ref":"artifact:btp-business-data-cloud"},{"ref":"artifact:btp-datasphere"},{"ref":"capability:warehouse-loading","applies_to":{"ecosystems":["btp"]}}],"sources":[{"url":"https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dawtYL8SGJg","title":"Strategy and Tool Updates on BW Modernization with SAP Business Data Cloud","checked":"2026-10-19","quote":"Secondly, it is about modernizing uh the landscape with your with the SAP tools and for this today we are going to talk about those uh tools especially the data product generator, query template generator and BW migration assistant"},{"url":"https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dawtYL8SGJg","title":"Strategy and Tool Updates on BW Modernization with SAP Business Data Cloud","checked":"2026-10-19","quote":"So when you run the subscription uh it would now transfer the data uh from your BW to the local table file within the data sphere."}],"provenance":{"discovered_via":[{"source":"source:youtube","channel":"devtoberfest-2026"}],"first_seen":"2026-10-19"},"drafted_with_ai":true},"readings":{"liveness":[{"label":"Checked against the source","tier":"unknown","evidence":"nobody has checked it"},{"label":"Source reachable","tier":"unknown","evidence":"not crawled"},{"label":"Age","tier":"good","evidence":"published 1 month ago"}],"compatibility":[{"label":"Version","tier":"unknown","evidence":"no version declared"},{"label":"Moved since?","tier":"good","evidence":"no recorded change after 2026-09-22"},{"label":"Findings","tier":"good","evidence":"none flagged"}],"reach":[{"value":null,"unit":"views"},{"value":null,"unit":"comments"},{"value":null,"unit":"likes"}]},"signals":null,"series":null,"edges":{"authors":[]}}
