Covers two further changes to [@sap/cds](artifact:sap-cds)'s Node.js runtime: metadata about which elements are searchable is now cached, and search over localized text can resolve at query time instead of through a compiled view, avoiding a coalesce function that blocks filter push-down on SAP HANA. Also describes an experimental toggle, cds.env.features.optimized_search, that lets the runtime choose the CONTAINS predicate over LIKE for large data sets.","short":"@cds.search and search performance in CAP Node.js","authors":["actor:arleytm"],"published":"2021-08-18","against":[{"ref":"artifact:sap-cds","version":"5"}],"provenance":{"discovered_via":[{"source":"source:sap-community","channel":"cap-tag"}],"first_seen":"2026-09-23"},"drafted_with_ai":true,"history":[{"date":"2026-10-17","field":"explains","from":null,"to":"applies_to on capability:search (cap)","reason":"Door scope proposed from the title and summary, so a door page lists the piece only where it holds (docs/concepts/content-on-doors.md)."}]},"readings":{"liveness":[{"label":"Checked against the source","tier":"unknown","evidence":"nobody has checked it"},{"label":"Source reachable","tier":"unknown","evidence":"not crawled"},{"label":"Age","tier":"poor","evidence":"published 62 months ago"}],"compatibility":[{"label":"Version","tier":"unknown","evidence":"sap-cds 5"},{"label":"Moved since?","tier":"good","evidence":"no recorded change after 2021-08-18"},{"label":"Findings","tier":"good","evidence":"none flagged"}],"reach":[{"value":4110,"unit":"views"},{"value":0,"unit":"comments"},{"value":22,"unit":"likes"}]},"signals":{"views":4110,"likes":22,"comments":0,"metrics_at":"2026-10-25"},"series":null,"edges":{"authors":[{"ref":"actor:arleytm","name":"Arley Triana Morin","json":"/actors/arleytm.json"}]}}
