Location services
Putting a place on business data from a location provider: an address turned into coordinates or corrected, a base map to draw on, and a route with its distance and duration between two or more points. Storing geometries in the database and querying them there is graph, spatial and document dataGraph, spatial and document dataStoring and querying data that is not plain rows, such as a network of relationships, a geometry or a JSON document, in the database that already holds the rows instead of in a separate store per model. Overview
Two SAP-official services answer this on BTP: SAP HANA Spatial Services for SAP BTPSAP HANA Spatial Services for SAP BTPA BTP service of four APIs, geocoding, map tiles, routing and matrix routing, over a third-party location provider whose licence the customer brings, returning results to combine with business data.sap official, btp puts four APIs in front of third-party location data — geocoding, map tiles, routing and matrix routing — and SAP Data Quality Management, microservices for location dataSAP Data Quality Management, microservices for location dataA BTP service of APIs for address cleansing, geocoding, reverse geocoding and type-ahead address suggestions, embedded into a business process or application.sap official, btp cleanses, geocodes and reverse geocodes address data as a cloud service, with a separate type-ahead API for address suggestions, embeddable directly into a business process or application.
Not covered: Differently, by provider: HANA Spatial Services answers all four — geocoding, map tiles, routing and matrix routing — but its one plan is bring-your-own-licence, so the results come from a third party the customer licenses separately. Data Quality Management answers only address cleansing, geocoding, reverse geocoding and type-ahead suggestions: no map tiles and no routing.
core_coverage is the BTP assessment, the capability's first ecosystem; CAP has its own slot below. Both providers on BTP are SAP's, so core-only is a assessment of the corpus rather than a quote from the core.
