What’s next for agentic analytics and planning in SAP Business Data CloudWhat’s next for agentic analytics and planning in SAP Business Data CloudWhat is next for agentic analytics and planning in SAP Business Data Cloud: SAP Joule's agents automating insight delivery, analysis, narrative generation and modelling tasks. A road map session; the abstract names the four kinds of task and no agent or date. A TechEd 2026 session (Tuesday 27 October, Berlin; also DA806V, virtual), presented by Kristian Ruemmelin, written here from SAP's abstract; the recording is not yet published.
What’s next for the core platform capabilities of SAP Business AI PlatformWhat’s next for the core platform capabilities of SAP Business AI PlatformA preview of the operations layer beneath SAP Business AI Platform: selected road map highlights across Joule Studio runtime, Cloud Identity Services and SAP Cloud Logging, on how enterprise AI is governed and run. The edges are to the two named services and to SAP Joule, whose agents the Joule Studio runtime runs; the abstract names the three areas and no highlight. A TechEd 2026 session (Tuesday 27 October, Berlin; also XP825V, virtual), presented by Andre Lamego and Jens Huesken, written here from SAP's abstract; the recording is not yet published.
Where ORD Is Used in SAP Datasphere, SAP Business Data Cloud & SAP DatabricksWhere ORD Is Used in SAP Datasphere, SAP Business Data Cloud & SAP DatabricksOpen Resource Discovery (ORD) is the metadata standard SAP's Business Accelerator Hub attaches to APIs, and the one SAP Business Data Cloud requires of any data product — including ones Databricks publishes — before SAP Datasphere can discover it. Data products moving from Databricks into Business Data Cloud carry both ORD and CSN metadata side by side.Yogananda, published 2026-03-01
Why developers should care about credential-types for xsuaa? Why developers should care about credential-types for xsuaa?Rotating secrets, argued from a habit rather than a feature: the author names the practice implicit in many beginner tutorials — lifting a secret out of a binding to use it elsewhere — and notes CAP has features that make it unnecessary in development. Then the three credential types side by side, configured on a CAP application's uaa resource in mta.yaml and through a deployment extension.former_member2839, published 2022-07-05

Why SAP Cloud Identity Matters for SAP Task Center: It’s About Trust and Global User IDWhy SAP Cloud Identity Matters for SAP Task Center: It’s About Trust and Global User IDA step-by-step configuration walkthrough for wiring SAP Cloud Identity Services as the trust and user-correlation layer behind SAP Task Center: establishing Identity Authentication as the sole trusted identity provider for the BTP subaccount, and generating the Global User ID — carried in the token's user_uuid claim rather than the SAML name identifier — that Task Center uses to match logged-in users to their tasks. It also covers syncing that ID between Microsoft Entra ID, the Identity Directory and SAP S/4HANA through Identity Provisioning jobs, and the principal-propagation trust the cloud connector needs to pass it through to an on-premise task provider.ivelinakiryakov, published 2024-11-25
Workflow development using SAP Cloud Application Programming Model and SAP Build Process AutomationWorkflow development using SAP Cloud Application Programming Model and SAP Build Process AutomationAn argument about where logic belongs rather than a wiring guide. The author's case is that pulling mapping, preprocessing and JavaScript into the process model makes it unreadable to the process owner who has to maintain it, so the model should stay thin and CAP should hold the domain model, the authorisation annotations, the events and the API consumption. Each of those is then shown in turn against SBPA — including publishing CAP events into process visibility.Venugopal, published 2025-02-18
Working with the Attachment plugin - Cloud Application ProgrammingWorking with the Attachment plugin - Cloud Application ProgrammingOne instalment of the author's own series working through the CAP plugins one at a time, and it reads as that: what the plugin does, how it does it, and how to put it in a service. Written from the plugin list in capire rather than from a problem, which makes it the plainest introduction here.published 2024-05-18

XSUAA Based Authentication - Using Managed ApprouterXSUAA Based Authentication - Using Managed ApprouterOne half of a pair published the same day, both starting from capire's list of authentication kinds and then going end to end on XSUAA. This is the managed approuter route, where the platform runs the router and the application supplies configuration rather than a module.rahul_rajagopal, published 2023-09-25

XSUAA Local TestingXSUAA Local TestingAdding XSUAA to a CAP project two ways, and then the part that is usually missing: getting the authorisation to behave on a laptop rather than only after deployment. The default authentication mechanism is the easy half; testing it without a landscape is the reason this exists.ManasaManu, published 2024-10-17

Zero token architecture for Joule AgentsZero token architecture for Joule AgentsA pattern for SAP Joule's agents in which an agent maps the solution path once, solves the problem, generates reusable code or configuration and validates it, and later requests reuse that output, so discovery is done by the model and execution is repeatable. The abstract states the pattern as an idea and names no Joule component and no case it was tried on. A TechEd 2026 session (Tuesday 27 October, Berlin), presented by EDGAR ADRIAN MARTINEZ ARCE, written here from SAP's abstract; the recording is not yet published.
加速开发和部署的CAP CDS和Fiori一些实用命令加速开发和部署的CAP CDS和Fiori一些实用命令In Chinese. A command reference rather than a walkthrough — cds import, cds compile, cds deploy --to sqlite, cds add hana, cds add xsuaa — grouped by what they are for. The kind of page that is more useful than a tutorial once you already know what you are doing.TiaXu, published 2022-10-21
