LLM integration
The call to a model belongs in the service, and the UI5 side is where its output meets a user. ui5-cap-ai-featuresui5-cap-ai-featuresBoth halves of an AI text feature in one package: a CDS plugin serving an AIService over SAP AI Core's Orchestration Service, and the be.wl.ai UI5 control library that calls exactly that service.independent, cap ships both halves — a CDS plugin and a UI5 control library — and its demoui5-ai-features-demoA product-review screen on CAP and SAPUI5 that consumes ui5-cap-ai-features and contains no library source at all — written to prove the package is enough on its own.independent, cap proves the package is enough on its own; cap-ui5-gpt-chatcap-ui5-gpt-chatA working chat application on CAP and SAPUI5 against the OpenAI API — selectable models, per-user chat history in the database, maintainable chatbot personalities, and streaming responses as an option per chat.independent, cap is a whole chat application as a reference.
Overview
@ui5/webcomponents SAP's UI elements as standard custom elements, ui5-button among them, implementing SAP Fiori design and usable from plain HTML, React, Angular or Vue.
Not covered: At the surface: the components render and collect input and call no model, and the package is experimental and supports the Horizon themes only. The call belongs to whatever backend the application runs.
The call and the control arrive together: ui5-cap-ai-featuresui5-cap-ai-featuresBoth halves of an AI text feature in one package: a CDS plugin serving an AIService over SAP AI Core's Orchestration Service, and the be.wl.ai UI5 control library that calls exactly that service.independent, cap pairs UI5 controls with a CDS plugin, and cap-ui5-gpt-chatcap-ui5-gpt-chatA working chat application on CAP and SAPUI5 against the OpenAI API — selectable models, per-user chat history in the database, maintainable chatbot personalities, and streaming responses as an option per chat.independent, cap is a whole chat application on a UI5 front end. Both live in CAP and serve UI5.

It calls the OpenAI API directly with a key in the environment. It was written in early 2023 and last touched in May 2023, which is before SAP AI Core and the CAP LLM plugins existed — so read it for the shape of the application, not for how a CAP service should reach a model today.
Neither the package manifest nor the repository tree declares a licence.
