Native custom elements rather than a control library built for someone else's app: FileUploader and UploadCollection ship in the framework itself, usable from plain HTML, React, Angular or Vue with no separate control library in between.

Overview

SAP SHIPS

UI5 Web Components splits file handling into two elements: FileUploader, in the base @ui5/webcomponents package, opens the browser's file picker and puts the chosen files on a files property. UploadCollection, in @ui5/webcomponents-fiori, lists them with a drag-and-drop overlay and can show files already uploaded.

Not covered: Neither component makes the upload request itself: FileUploader only exposes the files a user picked, and UploadCollection's own comments call the drop handling "up to the application developer". Where the bytes land, who may read them and any scan status are left entirely to whatever service the app wires the upload to.
