ui5-lib-diff

A hosted app that lists what changed between two SAPUI5 or OpenUI5 versions from the UI5 API's change records, and publishes the same data as static JSON files at fixed paths for tools and agents.

Deciding whether to move a project from one UI5 version to another means reading every release note in between. This takes a from-version and a to-version and lists the changes across that range instead. The data is the raw change record from the UI5 API, kept per version in the repository and consolidated into one file for the app, the same material the UI5 Change Log site renders per minor version. The hosted app also serves it without the UI: a manifest, an all-changes bundle, the consolidated SAPUI5 and OpenUI5 files and a What's New file, all at fixed paths. Its README is explicit that the app's own query parameters are a client-side route rather than a server API, and that a tool should download the bundle once at setup and filter it locally on version > versionFrom && version <= versionTo.

Signals

LicenceNo licenseNeither the package manifest nor the repository tree declares a licence

Without a licence the default is all rights reserved. Ask the maintainer, or check for terms stated elsewhere, before depending on it.

Conditions

PracticalFunctional boundary

It reports what the change log says, not what your application uses, so it cannot tell you which of the listed changes touches your code. The repository carries no licence file, which leaves the code itself with no grant attached even though the hosted app is open to use.

  1. Read out of the marianfoo account listing. capability:documentation reads core-only on the UI5 door on the grounds that every provider there is SAP-published; this is an independent one, so that reading needs reassessing rather than carrying over.
