abapgit-commitlint
A set of abapGit user exits that checks a commit message against the rules a repository defines and can block the push when it fails, with the rules validated by a separate linter service.
Implements three of abapGitabapGitA Git client written in ABAP that runs inside the system, so objects are cloned, pulled and pushed without leaving it; with no package manager in ABAP, a cloned repository is how code is distributed.community org, abap's user exits: VALIDATE_BEFORE_PUSH runs the check just before changes go to the remote repository, and ENHANCE_REPO_TOOLBAR and ON_EVENT add a settings page per repository for choosing which rules to check and how to behave when one fails. A failing message raises a popup that cancels the push, unless that repository's settings allow a push with errors. Which linter runs is a setting too: an ABAP class implementing ZIF_ABAPGIT_COMMIT_LINTER, and a URL where the linter service runs. By default that is ZCL_ABAPGIT_COMMITLINT_SRV, which calls the Node.jsNode.jsA cross-platform JavaScript runtime that servers, command line tools and scripts written in JavaScript are run with. For the things here, the prerequisite a repository names when its build is a set of npm scripts. application abap-srv-commitlint, where the Conventional Commits rules are validated; the rule validation stops there, and this wires the abapGit hooks around it.
