ui5-lib

A sample setup for developing a UI5 library in ui5-ecosystem-showcase, covering the whole cycle in one folder: a dev server, a build, linting, a QUnit testsuite and Karma unit tests.

The whole cycle of a library project in one folder: a dev server that opens an example page, a build to ./dist and a second ui5-dist.yaml that serves that build, a QUnit testsuite for the browser, and headless Karma runs with coverage behind pnpm test. Its package.json brings karma, karma-ui5, karma-coverage and a Chrome launcher for the tests, and ui5-middleware-hmr as its one extension from the repository. The README points to ui5.yaml and package.json for how it is configured.

UI5 library showcase

This sample shows a setup for developing a UI5 library, including dev server, build, linting, and Karma-based unit tests.

Peek at both ui5.yaml and package.json in order to learn about the UI5 CLI configuration and its' npm package dependencies and configuration options.

Getting started

From the repository root (after a one-time pnpm install):

pnpm dev-lib            # run the UI5 dev server (opens the example page on http://localhost:8080)
pnpm build-lib          # build the library to ./dist

Or from inside this folder:

pnpm dev                # dev server
pnpm build              # build to ./dist
pnpm start              # serve the built ./dist via ui5-dist.yaml
pnpm testsuite          # open the QUnit testsuite in the browser
pnpm test               # lint + Karma headless tests with coverage
