Extend Upload Set to Fiori Elements and utilize Document Management ServiceExtend Upload Set to Fiori Elements and utilize Document Management ServiceWritten two months before there was an official plugin, and the author has left the record of that in the page: an update dated 2024-04-04 noting the CAP team released @cap-js/attachments, and another dated 2024-05-21 saying they tested it and wrote up the Object Store variant separately. Creating a Hybrid CAP (Node.js) Profile with PostgreSQL on BTP from Business Application StudioCreating a Hybrid CAP (Node.js) Profile with PostgreSQL on BTP from Business Application StudioHybrid testing is documented for HANA; this is the same profile against a PostgreSQL instance on BTP, driven from a BAS dev space rather than a laptop. Proposed under editor support because of where it runs, but the subject is the binding: what cds bind writes, and what has to be true of the service instance and the tunnel for a local process to reach it.valentincadart, published 2025-10-02

Dynamic authorisation with user attributes in SAP CAP and AMSDynamic authorisation with user attributes in SAP CAP and AMSThe same argument as the XSUAA-to-AMS piece, opened from a concrete failure: an acquisition puts 500 users on sales data restricted by division, and role-based access control answers it with Sales_Manager_EMEA, Sales_Manager_APAC and so on until the roles multiply past managing. Dynamic OData from "any" API through SAP BTP KymaDynamic OData from "any" API through SAP BTP KymaPutting an OData face on a third-party API by way of Kyma, so the SAP side of a landscape can consume something that was never built for it. The word dynamic is doing work in the title — the shape is not modelled in advance.Gunter, published 2021-09-09
Exploring Application Frontend Service: Deploying the UI of an MTA AppExploring Application Frontend Service: Deploying the UI of an MTA AppApplication Frontend Service, which arrived in May 2026 and overlaps the HTML5 Application Repository without replacing it. The post is careful about the difference — single-tenant, stand-alone, and no Work Zone integration yet — which is what you need to decide between them.MioYasutake, published 2025-07-12
From Concept to action: Hands-On with the CAP Operator and the Partner Reference ApplicationFrom Concept to action: Hands-On with the CAP Operator and the Partner Reference ApplicationThe CAP Operator applied to a real application rather than a sample of its own — SAP's Partner Reference Application, taken from plugin integration through containerisation to custom resources. The transition to CRDs is the part that repays attention: it is where the deployment stops being an mta and becomes Kubernetes.ChristianWeiss, published 2026-05-21

SQLite as database for a multi-target (/productive) CAP ApplicationSQLite as database for a multi-target (/productive) CAP ApplicationOpens with "Not recommended but possible", and then names the two cases where it is the right call anyway: a showcase, and a landscape with no HANA Cloud available. Tips for running CAP nodejs in SAP BTPTips for running CAP nodejs in SAP BTPDeliberately not a summary of capire: the author says up front that nothing here repeats the documented best practices, and the subject is configuration for running cloud-natively rather than correctly. Examples target Cloud Foundry, with the claim that they hold for Kyma too.published 2023-06-21

SAP Cloud Logging Serviceでコンテナメトリクスを監視するSAP Cloud Logging Serviceでコンテナメトリクスを監視するIn Japanese. Container metrics for a CAP Node.js application into SAP Cloud Logging Service, and the reason it exists is that the obvious route does not apply: Spring Boot Actuator covers the Java side, and Node has no equivalent, so the author reaches for Telegraf instead. The procedure is deliberately independent of application logic — bind the instance, add a startup script and a config file — so it works against an application you already have.kyoneo, published 2024-03-26

Everything here is subscription lifecycle and routing, so the parts that are usually entangled with HDI container provisioning are visible on their own.DebashishDas, published 2026-05-06

Testing SAP Build Process Automation task UI in SAP Business Application StudioTesting SAP Build Process Automation task UI in SAP Business Application StudioA task UI built from the Workflow Task UI template cannot be run in Business Application Studio: it expects the task model and the inbox API as startup parameters, and without them it fails before the view renders. The post shows the error, explains why it happens, and supplies a wrapper that provides the missing context locally, so the alternative to deploying on every change is not deploying on every change.published 2023-10-15
