Finding a transaction code
Getting from a task to the code that starts it, and keeping the codes you use within reach. Overview
SAP GUI answers this from inside a session. Extras > Technical Details on a menu item of the SAP Easy Access menu shows the code behind it, and Extras > Settings > Display Technical Name shows the code of every item in that menu; the dropdown beside the command field lists the transactions used since logon; and Favorites holds the ones a person adds, labelled with the transaction name.
Not covered: At a session that is already open, and at the menu that logon puts in front of you. A code is found by navigating to its task, in the user menu assigned to you or in the SAP standard menu when yours does not carry it, and the command field's dropdown reaches only what the current logon has used.
SAP's answer is part of SAP GUI rather than something published, so there is no artifact on the core side and core-and-community records only that both are present. How a browser page's own list of codes relates to what a given system holds has not been assessed.
Two kinds answer it from outside SAP GUI. A browser page, ui5-tcode-finderui5-tcode-finderA browser page that searches SAP transaction codes by code, title or description and hands one over on a click: copied plain, copied with an /n or /o prefix, or opened in SAP GUI for HTML.independent, abap, searches codes by code, title or description, hands one over with the /n or /o prefix in front of it or opens it in SAP GUI for HTML, and keeps favourites, recents and codes of a person's own in the browser. An app installed into the ABAP system, sapguisapguiThirty classic transactions, SE80 and SE16N among them, rebuilt as abap2UI5 apps and installed with abapGit into a standard ABAP system.independent, abap, rebuilds SAP Easy Access in the browser: it browses the system's own area menu S000 and the Favorites folder, starts a transaction from the command field, and finds a code in a rebuilt SE93 screen.
