How to Use n8n for Agentic Integrations and Cool Insights

A Devtoberfest 2026 session on one use case built with n8n, the workflow automation tool SAP announced a partnership with in May 2026: judging the attachments of an automotive warranty claim. A Fiori upload table carries named evidence rows — this line is the invoice, this one the quote — and each uploaded file goes as base64 to an n8n webhook together with the claim context: the position and diagnosis codes, the parts, the amounts and the conversation with the dealer. The flow splits PDF from image, tries text extraction before falling back to a vision prompt, and calls Anthropic's Sonnet with a prompt that names the role, the input, the scoring rules and the response shape; the demo shows a matching invoice scoring 95%, an unrelated dent-removal invoice scoring 5% with the mismatches listed, and a photograph of a rusted suspension arm accepted while an engine bay is rejected against the same claim. The second half is the n8n editor itself — nodes, credentials, the test trace with each node's input and output — and the closing advice is human-in-the-loop flows at the edges of a process rather than automatic adjudication inside it.
