No-Code MCP Servers with SAP Integration Suite: From REST API to AI Agent
Walks through turning a deployed API artifact into a no-code MCP server in SAP Integration SuiteSAP Integration SuiteSAP's integration service on BTP: Cloud Integration for orchestration, API Management in front of it, and an MCP gateway that serves a managed API to agents.sap official, btp's MCP Gateway: the API artifact's OpenAPI spec must be version 3.0.0-3.0.3, since Swagger 2.0 is rejected, and its backend is reached through a BTP Destination using OAuth2ClientCredentials so the agent calling the server never sees the backend secret. The API artifact's own Authorization policy sets an OAuth scope and Trust Upstream MCP Authorization, and the gotcha list traces a 403 on a valid token to that policy rather than to authentication, before the finished MCP server is published through Developer Hub and connected to Claude Code.
