Task and approval UIs

The screen a person approves something on — a workflow or process task rendered as a form, embedded in an inbox that supplies its context. Distinct from workflow integration, which is about driving the engine: this is the half a human touches, and its hard part is that it cannot run without the engine that normally feeds it.

Not covered: SAP Build Process Automation ships a Workflow Task UI template, and an application built from it takes the task model and the inbox API as startup parameters. Outside the inbox those parameters are absent, so the application fails before it renders — which is why developing one means either deploying on every change or standing up a substitute for the context.

SAP Task Center is the inbox a UI5 task UI runs in. The Workflow Task UI template is SAP's own starting point, and the writing about working around its missing context is content attached to this capability.
