sapskills

Three agent skills in one repository: Clean ABAP guidance, ADT in VS Code against the Private Cloud Edition, and general guardrails for a coding agent.

clean-abap applies its guidance when an agent creates, refactors, reviews or explains an ABAP artifact, and derives from SAP's own Clean ABAP style guide. abap-vscode-pce covers working with ADT in VS Code against the Private Cloud Edition, and the README sends Eclipse users to copilot-instructions.md instead. karpathy is not about ABAP: it carries behavioural guardrails for a coding agent, think before coding and keep changes surgical, adapted from multica-ai's MIT-licensed repository. The three install together or one at a time through the skills CLI, and --list shows them without installing anything. The README adds the detail that decides where a skill can live, that VS Code's ABAP filesystem is virtual, and links its own workspace setup guidance for both editors.

Distinct from agent tooling, which is about building agentic features into your application, and from [agent access to your code](capability:agent-code-access), where the agent reads the real project instead of being handed a file about it.

Get an agent to write ABAP that follows Clean ABAPA developer wants the ABAP an agent writes to follow SAP's Clean ABAP conventions without the rules being pasted into the prompt each time, and wants what it wrote read back against them.Standard ABAP, ABAP CloudCoversone installable skill that states when it applies
What it does

One of the three skills in the repository, applied when an agent creates, refactors, reviews or explains an ABAP artifact, and the README names SAP's own style guide repository as where it comes from. It installs on its own through the skills command line, so the Clean ABAP rules arrive without the other two skills.

Remaining work

Run the install. The skill states the situations it applies in and the agent decides to read it; the README names no client the skills install into, so which assistant picks them up is the reader's to establish.

Work on ABAP with an agent and no system connectionA developer wants to review, write or test ABAP with an agent on a machine that has no connection to an SAP system — a serialised repository checked out, or source pasted into the session, and nothing else.Standard ABAP, ABAP CloudAssessed, not knownthree instruction files with nothing that connects
What it does

Three skills that read as instruction files rather than procedures over tools, so nothing in them obviously needs a system. The README states no system prerequisite either way, and one of the three is about working with ADT in Visual Studio Code against a Private Cloud Edition, which does assume a reachable system. Whether the set as a whole is useful with nothing connected is therefore not established.

Remaining work

Read the three SKILL.md files and record which of them assume a reachable system. Absence of a stated prerequisite is not a statement that none is needed.

SAP Skills

This is a skill repository for SAP Development. It contains general development skills, and ABAP related in first round.

List available skills without installing:

npx skills add attilaberencsi/sapskills --list

Installation of all skills from this repository with the skills CLI:

npx skills add attilaberencsi/sapskills

Installation of the Clean ABAP skill only:

npx skills add attilaberencsi/sapskills --skill clean-abap

Installation of the Karpathy skill only:

npx skills add attilaberencsi/sapskills --skill karpathy

Installation of the VSCode Private Clouid Edition (PCE) skill only:

This helps CoPilot to understand the usage of ADT VSCode Extension.

NOTE: You do not need this in Eclipse, use copilot-instructions.md for that.

npx skills add attilaberencsi/sapskills --skill abap-vscode-pce

This repository is structured as a multi-skill catalog so additional SAP- and ABAP-related skills can be added over time under skills/.

Available Skills

  • clean-abap: Apply Clean ABAP guidance when creating, refactoring, reviewing, or explaining ABAP artifacts. Origin:
  • karpathy: Apply concise behavioral guardrails for coding agents: think before coding, keep solutions simple, make surgical changes, and verify against explicit success criteria.
  • abap-vscode-pce: Instructions to work with ADT in VScode

Hints for ABAPers

To be able work with SKILLS you need persistency to store them. ABAP filesytem provided by the VSCode extension is virtual. Here is a Guide covering VScode and Eclipse.

History in the atlas2
  1. In the SAP AI Skills Library registry snapshot since the baseline of 2026-09-18 and never drafted; the registry record for skills/clean-abap changed before the 2026-10-09 check, so it enters as a new entry rather than a revision. Represented once at repository level, as [skillOverflow](artifact:dankromp-skilloverflow) is: the registry registers one skill, clean-abap, while the repository documents and installs three, so the repository's count is used for the entry and both remain in the crawl record. Written from the repository's own README; hard rule 7: skills are indexed, never authored here.
