dbg_value_statement
An ABAP Debugger script that turns a variable's structure or table into the VALUE statement that recreates it, with a tree explorer, also callable as a function module from a report.
You enter the name of a variable and the script transforms it into a VALUE statement, with a tree explorer to visualise the structure or table first. It is loaded in the ABAP Debugger from the Script tab under the name ZDBG_DISPL_VALUE_STMT, from the database and executed directly. The same generation sits behind the function module Z_DISPLAY_VALUE_STMT, which the maintainer states is not limited to debugging and runs in a report as well, as the shipped report ZTEST_RTTI shows. It was developed and tested on SAP_BASIS 752.

README

Debugger Script to generate Value-Statements for arbitrary Structures/Tables. The scripts needs to be loaded in the Abap-Debugger via Script-Tab. The name of the script is
ZDBG_DISPL_VALUE_STMT
Make sure that the script is loaded from database and is executed directly. You only need to enter the variable name which is then transformed into value-statement.
The function-module
Z_DISPLAY_VALUE_STMT
is not limited to be used only while debugging. It can be executed in Reports as well. See report
ZTEST_RTTI
for examples.
This tool comes with a tree-explorer to visualize the corresponding object (structure/table).
The Script was developed and test on SAP_BASIS 752.
