SAP Customer Identity and Access Management for B2C
SAP's customer identity service: registration, login and consent for the users of a company's websites and apps, kept in one profile per customer, with regional data storage and risk-based authentication as options.
A consumer website or app has to register its users, log them in, record what they consented to and keep their data where local privacy law requires. SAP Customer Identity and Access Management for B2C handles customer identity, consent and authenticationAuthenticationEstablishing who is calling: validating credentials or tokens, resolving the user, and making that identity available to the application. Authorization decides what that identity may do; identity provisioning manages its lifecycle across systems.SAP and community, narrow by design through a unified profile per customer. Screen-sets carry login, profile updates and consent, hosted pages show them without adding them to the site's code, and a site or site group can act as a SAML identity provider or an OIDC provider. Global Access stores each user's data in a data centre in their region, and Risk Based Authentication challenges a login according to its calculated risk, with third-party providers such as Google reCAPTCHA, Akamai, Arkose Labs and Transunion. Core is the base plan; the consent option package lifts its restrictions on consent, and the enhanced option package adds Global Access and Risk Based Authentication.
