SAP Service Manager

The BTP registry for service brokers and environments: consumes SAP BTP services from any connected runtime environment, tracks the service instances created, and shares them between environments.

An application needs instances of SAP BTP services and the access details to reach them, and an environment other than the one an instance was created in may need the same instance. SAP Service Manager is the registry behind that: a platform is registered with it to consume SAP BTP services natively, service instances are created and tracked through it, and a service binding returns the access details for an instance. Service discovery lists every SAP BTP service offering available in the account, and the SAP Cloud Service Management service API groups provision and manage instances at runtime. Its three plans set the reach of an instance: Container allows bindings for its own instance, whose instances are visible from itself and from the subaccount plans but not from other Container instances; Subaccount Admin manages the subaccount's service instances, bindings and subaccount-scoped platforms; and Subaccount Audit reads them.
