abap_debugger_object_graph_extension

An ABAP debugger extension that shows the object on the debugger's Objects tab as a Graphviz graph in a browser window, built on ABAP Graph and Graphviz-browser and tested on NetWeaver 7.5.

At a breakpoint in the new debugger, the Objects tab's tools menu gains a "View object as graph" entry, and choosing it opens the object graph in a new browser window. The rendering is done by Graphviz-browser, and ABAP Graph is a prerequisite that has to be installed before the extension itself goes in through abapGit. The maintainer credits ABAP-Object-Visualizer as the original inspiration, and states it was tested on netweaver 7.5, with older releases unknown.

Abap debugger object graph extension

ABAP debugger extension to visualize objects as graphs via graphviz

Installation

The prerequisite ABAP Graph needs to be installed first, then install via abapGit

Tested on netweaver 7.5, not sure about older releases

Use
  1. Set breakpoint in source code

  2. In the new debugger go to "Objects" tab

  3. open the tools menu from the icon on the left image
