Migrate and modernize your custom code using RISE with SAP and agentic AIMigrate and modernize your custom code using RISE with SAP and agentic AIThe Custom Code Migration Agent in SAP Joule for Developers, ABAP AI capabilities, shown on the RISE with SAP path that moves custom extensions from SAP ERP Central Component to SAP Cloud ERP Private: the abstract says the agent adapts the code through MCP tools and the AI for ABAP features in the custom code tools, and that the adapted code is then reworked along the clean core approach, the concern ABAP Cloud readiness covers. Which MCP tools, and what the clean core step changes in the code, the abstract leaves open. A TechEd 2026 session (Tuesday 27 October, Berlin), presented by Hitesh Bindal, Ingo Braeuninger, Jonas Helin of GitHub, Olga Dolinskaja and Thomas Fiedler, written here from SAP's abstract; the recording is not yet published.

The edges are to Extensibility, the concern the session is about, and to ABAP Cloud readiness, the concern behind making custom code compliant; the abstract names no tool for either and the dashboard is not held here. Building a Terraform onboarder for SAP Business AI PlatformBuilding a Terraform onboarder for SAP Business AI PlatformA Terraform-driven onboarder the speakers' team built after onboarding one customer onto a generative AI solution in SAP Business AI Platform took five systems and two days by hand each time: what was automated with Terraform, what was kept manual on purpose, and the count of over 100 customers the abstract reports since. The onboarder covers the account provisioning concern; the abstract does not say which systems the five are or whether the Terraform Provider for SAP BTP is the provider behind it. A TechEd 2026 session (Tuesday 27 October, Berlin), presented by Julian Breitkopf and Max Streifeneder, written here from SAP's abstract; the recording is not yet published.
Define, generate, deploy: AI-driven spec-first TerraformDefine, generate, deploy: AI-driven spec-first TerraformAccount provisioning written as a spec first: the abstract has participants write a structured description of a BTP account, its subaccounts, entitlements, governance, best practices and more, and an AI turns it into Terraform scripts that build it. The abstract does not name the Terraform provider the scripts use, the spec format or the AI behind the generation. SAP BAIP, ABAP environment: Monitoring and troubleshootingSAP BAIP, ABAP environment: Monitoring and troubleshootingMonitoring and troubleshooting a side-by-side application written in the ABAP Cloud model on SAP BTP ABAP environment, which SAP's title calls SAP BAIP, ABAP environment, and which the abstract files under a clean core strategy at level A: the environment's technical monitoring tools for the monitoring half, and ABAP Development Tools for Eclipse for the troubleshooting half, the debugging concern. The abstract names the environment and the Eclipse tools, leaves the monitoring tools unnamed, and does not say what is shown of either. AI needs a foundation: A map of the plug-in ecosystem for CAPAI needs a foundation: A map of the plug-in ecosystem for CAPA map of the plug-ins for CAP (@sap/cds), official, community and independent, drawn across regions such as integration, performance and tooling, so that a team can see what exists to reuse and what it would have to build: the question plugin authoring answers from the other side. SAP's abstract places CAP at the centre of its AI strategy, with model context protocol support, and the map is offered as the foundation under that. A TechEd 2026 session (Tuesday 27 October, Community Theater, Berlin), presented by Mike Zaschka, written here from SAP's abstract; the recording is not yet published.
Don't "let it crash", is this the new CAP guideline?Don't "let it crash", is this the new CAP guideline?Dinu traces a change in error handling in CAP's Node.js runtime: @sap/cds@8.2.0 adds a cds.server.shutdown_on_uncaught_errors config flag, defaulting to true, but invoking an operation with an undefined variable no longer takes the server down, with or without the flag, where the same code crashed it on cds@6 and cds@7, and the author notes the old behaviour was already missing in cds@8.1. It still crashes with features.odata_new_adapter turned off to use the old OData parser, so it is the new OData adapter, like the REST adapter before it, that answers an uncaught error with a 500 instead of taking the process down.Dinu, published 2024-09-06

Speed up deployment for CAP using TurborepoSpeed up deployment for CAP using TurborepoImpatience as a method: minutes of waiting on MBT and cf deploy sent the author looking for alternatives. Using Github Actions to Deploy a CAP App (MTA)Using Github Actions to Deploy a CAP App (MTA)Walks through a GitHub Actions workflow that deploys a CAP project's MTA to SAP BTP, Cloud Foundry: secrets and variables for the BTP credentials, a push-triggered job that checks out the repository, installs Node.js, runs npx mbt build and then cf deploy against the target org and space, plus an optional test job and a note on reusable workflow templates. Written because capire's own CI/CD guide is Docker-based and the linked sample is marked broken, so this fills the gap with the plain cds add mta / mbt build / cf deploy sequence driven by a pipeline instead of a terminal. That sequence is exactly what cds up, beta since @sap/cds-dk 8.9.0 (March 2025), now runs as one command, so the pipeline mechanics still hold but the three manual build-and-deploy steps it scripts are no longer the only way there.Christopher_Ketzler, published 2024-08-26

From Application Logging to Cloud Logging: Service Innovation GuideFrom Application Logging to Cloud Logging: Service Innovation GuideSAP Cloud Logging replaces SAP Application Logging service, moving each customer from a shared multitenant stack to a dedicated, fully isolated one, and this guide sets out what changes with the move: a deployment per compliance region instead of per Cloud Foundry landscape, SAML/IDP-based authentication instead of Cloud Foundry-bound auth, retention that is configurable instead of fixed at seven days, and hourly capacity-unit pricing instead of fixed-size monthly plans. It also states the deprecation timeline for logging on BTP: SAP Application Logging closes to new or renewed CPEA contracts after 2025-07-31, while contracts signed before that date keep their entitlement until their next renewal.Hariharan-Gandhi, published 2024-11-22
From Application Logging to Cloud Logging: Service Migration GuideFrom Application Logging to Cloud Logging: Service Migration GuideA six-step guide to moving off SAP Application Logging service for SAP BTP onto SAP Cloud Logging: plan the instance layout, set up an Identity Authentication Service tenant for single sign-on to the new service, bind applications to both services in parallel so log data flows to each for comparison, then deprovision the old service once Cloud Logging holds the retained history. It covers what the logging libraries need so custom fields reach both services during the overlap: the CF Node.js library detects both bindings itself from v6.5.0, while the CF Java library has to be configured to retain each custom field at top level. It also gives the deprecation date SAP published for Application Logging under CPEA contracts, 31 July 2025.Hariharan-Gandhi, published 2024-11-22

It walks through a worked Logging example: xco_log=>factory->create_new_log opens a log keyed by object, subobject and external ID, logger->add_message appends a typed message, and logger->add_last_symsg attaches a problem class and level of detail for later traceability.tamitdassharma, published 2024-11-27

The abstract promises the services and tools available for the move, new AI-assisted innovations among them, and guidance for a migration project; it names none of the tools, so what the session covers beyond the migration path itself is not stated. A TechEd 2026 session (Tuesday 27 October, Berlin), presented by Morten Wittrock and Nils Lorenz, written here from SAP's abstract; the recording is not yet published.
Agentic SAP BW modernization: Your path to SAP Business Data CloudAgentic SAP BW modernization: Your path to SAP Business Data CloudStrategies for moving from SAP Business Warehouse to SAP Business Data Cloud, with dedicated migration tools and AI agents to shorten the move while keeping what was built in SAP BW, the platform migration concern for a warehouse. A Fresenius speaker co-presents; the abstract names neither the migration tools nor the agents. A TechEd 2026 session (Wednesday 28 October, Berlin), presented by Constantin Herbst, Hannes Keil and Sandy Tran, written here from SAP's abstract; the recording is not yet published.
AkzoNobel: Modernizing integration at enterprise scaleAkzoNobel: Modernizing integration at enterprise scaleAkzoNobel moving webMethods, SAP Process Orchestration and Microsoft BizTalk onto SAP Integration Suite, with Rojo Consultancy: SAP's abstract states more than 100 third-party applications on the new platform and the preparation for event-driven and AI-enabled integration. A platform migration told by the customer; the abstract names the three source platforms and not the tooling used to convert them. A TechEd 2026 session (Wednesday 28 October, Berlin), presented by Oussama Zoubairi, Piyush Gakhar and Sander Kool, written here from SAP's abstract; the recording is not yet published.
B2B integration factory: How Versuni verified more than 200 EDI interfacesB2B integration factory: How Versuni verified more than 200 EDI interfacesHow Versuni prepared its EDI landscape for a migration to SAP Integration Suite using Int4 Suite: automated validation across more than 200 interfaces, trading partner dependencies removed from the test, issues found earlier, and a repeatable approach for large B2B programmes. Int4 Suite is not in the atlas, so the piece enters on Integration Suite as the migration target and on the Platform migration concern; what was validated and how is not stated beyond the count. A TechEd 2026 session (Tuesday 27 October, Berlin), presented by Henk Wouda and Michal Ibrom, written here from SAP's abstract; the recording is not yet published.
Mercedes-Benz’s journey to SAP Integration SuiteMercedes-Benz’s journey to SAP Integration SuiteMercedes-Benz's move from SAP Process Integration and SAP Process Orchestration to a centrally governed integration platform on SAP Integration Suite, run for several business domains at global scale, which is a Platform migration case told by the customer. The abstract promises the architectural and operational decisions behind it and states none of them. A TechEd 2026 session (Wednesday 28 October, Berlin), presented by Oliver Weng and Sebastian Buhlinger, written here from SAP's abstract; the recording is not yet published.
Modern integration at TÜV Rheinland: APIs, events and cloud transformationModern integration at TÜV Rheinland: APIs, events and cloud transformationTÜV Rheinland's migration from SAP Process Orchestration to SAP Integration Suite with API-led connectivity and event-driven architecture, told through business cases. The abstract names what was used: the SAP Integration Suite, Event Mesh capability, API Management, generative AI for faster development and SAP Cloud ALM for monitoring. It states nothing about how any of them was used, so the edges rest on the names and on the Platform migration the story starts from. A TechEd 2026 session (Wednesday 28 October, Berlin), written here from SAP's abstract; the recording is not yet published.
Modernisation and migration to SAP Integration Suite made simpleModernisation and migration to SAP Integration Suite made simpleA hands-on platform migration of SAP Process Integration and SAP Process Orchestration scenarios into SAP Integration Suite: the migration assessment run against a legacy landscape to see what converts automatically, the migration tooling in Integration Suite run on the scenarios, and the resulting integration flows adjusted and deployed. What the assessment classifies a scenario by, and which adapters convert, is not stated. A TechEd 2026 session (Tuesday 27 October, Berlin), presented by Claire Tseng, Craig Stasila, Nils Lorenz and Sunny Kapoor, written here from SAP's abstract; the recording is not yet published.
Modernize your database landscape with SAP HANA CloudModernize your database landscape with SAP HANA CloudWhy to move a database estate to SAP HANA Cloud, and the migration tools and services for doing so, which is the platform migration concern. SAP's abstract is one sentence and names none of the tools. A TechEd 2026 session (Thursday 29 October, Berlin), presented by Niklas Siemer and Roman Belosludtsev, written here from SAP's abstract; the recording is not yet published.
Roadmap to upgrade from SAP Process Orchestration: Agentic era preparationRoadmap to upgrade from SAP Process Orchestration: Agentic era preparationThe road map for moving from SAP Process Orchestration to SAP Integration Suite, a platform migration with two named items: AI-supported migration tooling in Integration Suite that takes manual effort out of the conversion, and the Edge Integration Cell runtime as the governed hybrid runtime for secure deployments, in the abstract's words. Neither is described beyond its name, so what the tooling converts and what Edge Integration Cell runs is not stated. A TechEd 2026 session (Thursday 29 October, Berlin), presented by Arti Gopalan, Shilpa Vij and Udo Paltzer, written here from SAP's abstract; the recording is not yet published.
Adding Custom Metrics to a CAP application using cap-js/telementry plugin and SAP Cloud LoggingAdding Custom Metrics to a CAP application using cap-js/telementry plugin and SAP Cloud LoggingWalks through adding a custom OpenTelemetry counter metric to a CAP application on top of @cap-js/telemetry's built-in database-pool metrics, incrementing and decrementing it from a service handler on CREATE and UPDATE of high-urgency incidents. Shows the resulting metric in SAP Cloud Logging's Discover and Visualize screens, building a custom visualisation from the exported metrics data.gopalanand, published 2024-06-27
Kyma Integration with SAP Cloud Logging. Part 2: Let's ship some tracesKyma Integration with SAP Cloud Logging. Part 2: Let's ship some tracesWalks through shipping traces from SAP BTP, Kyma runtime to SAP Cloud Logging: a Kyma TracePipeline resource pointed at the service binding's OTLP endpoint, an Istio Telemetry resource that sets the mesh-wide sampling percentage, and Cloud Logging's Trace Analytics view to filter the resulting spans by service name or request ID. For a multitenant JavaScript CAP application it instruments with @cap-js/telemetry, naming the npm packages to add, and covers Cloud Native Buildpacks and manual Istio header propagation for services outside CAP.gabbi, published 2024-04-19
Monitor your AI agents with the SAP Cloud ALM solutionMonitor your AI agents with the SAP Cloud ALM solutionObserving AI agents with SAP Cloud ALM, which SAP's abstract says is now part of the SAP AI Agent Hub: agent telemetry integrated with application data into one view across agents and the systems they run beside, the telemetry concern read from the operations side. Neither SAP Cloud ALM nor the AI Agent Hub is an atlas entry, and the abstract states the integration as a promise and names no signal or tool. A TechEd 2026 session (Wednesday 28 October, Berlin), presented by Carsten Heinz, Frank Wenzke and Stefan Lahr, written here from SAP's abstract; the recording is not yet published.
Performance Trace Node.js App on BTP with DynatracePerformance Trace Node.js App on BTP with DynatraceWalks through wiring Dynatrace as a third-party APM for a Node.js app on SAP BTP, as an alternative to the platform's own internal monitoring: creating an access token and a user-provided service instance, binding it in manifest.yaml, and adding the @dynatrace/oneagent-sdk package for distributed tracing across app router, IDP and connectivity-proxy hops. An appendix covers turning on @sap/approuter's debug-level log output through the XS_APP_LOG_LEVEL environment variable.jeremy_ma_usa, published 2024-09-04
SAP Cloud Logging Serviceでコンテナメトリクスを監視するSAP Cloud Logging Serviceでコンテナメトリクスを監視するIn Japanese. Container metrics for a CAP Node.js application into SAP Cloud Logging Service, and the reason it exists is that the obvious route does not apply: Spring Boot Actuator covers the Java side, and Node has no equivalent, so the author reaches for Telegraf instead. The procedure is deliberately independent of application logic — bind the instance, add a startup script and a config file — so it works against an application you already have.kyoneo, published 2024-03-26
