Overview

A UI5 Web Component takes data through attributes and properties and takes markup through slots; there is no model or binding engine underneath it. SAP's own documentation puts the pairing with a model in the consuming framework: "you'll bind the content of the button via the means provided by the framework you're using, and the framework will be the one updating it for you."
