Touch operation

Operating a UI5 app with a finger, a stylus or a gloved hand on a tablet, kiosk or shop-floor terminal: targets large enough to hit, and input that does not assume a hardware keyboard. Distinct from responsive layout, which is about the width of the screen rather than what touches it.

Overview

SAP SHIPS

UI5 Web Components define the same content density concept as sap.m: cozy is the default, sized for touch-based devices, and compact tightens the spacing for desktop use.

Not covered: At cozy, the default. Compact is a class or attribute (ui5-content-density-compact, data-ui5-compact-size) the app applies itself; the documentation describes no automatic switch by device.
