abap-test-container
A test data container for ABAP Cloud that loads unit test data in JSON, XML or raw formats from GitHub and maps it onto the target structure, filling the platform's missing native one.
The current version of ABAP Cloud has no test data container of its own, so larger sets of unit test data have nowhere built in to live. abap-test-container loads that data from GitHubGitHubA hosted git service: repositories, pull requests with reviews, and branch rulesets that decide what may reach a branch. Things here that push objects out of an SAP system, or keep a review record outside it, call its API and open their pull requests on it. instead, where JSON and XML already have editors built in, and maps it generically onto the target structure so JSON, XML and raw formats can all feed the same test. Because the mapping is generic, the source data type has to match the target data type. A configuration object points at the GitHub file and a factory builds the container from it, and get_json_data hands the result to the unit test.

Test Container for ABAP Cloud (TDC)
Idea
In the current version of ABAP Cloud, ABAP doesn't support test data containers. This simple solution is intended to make larger sets of test data easily available. The idea is to make the data available via platforms like GitHub, as these have built-in editors for JSON and XML, making data maintenance and handling easier. You can find more informations about the project in this blog post on Software-Heroes.
Mocking
In this case, the data is loaded from GitHub and made available to the test case. JSON, XML, and RAW are currently supported. The data is mapped generically, so the source data type must also match the target data type. This allows for different formats and data types.
