A fully managed Kubernetes runtime on SAP BTP, based on the open-source project Kyma, where extensions to SAP solutions run as containerised microservices and serverless Functions.

SAP BTP, Kyma runtime is a fully managed Kubernetes runtime based on the open-source project Kyma, where an extension to an SAP solution runs as containerised microservices, serverless Functions, or both. The service mesh and connectivity are managed, built on open-source components and open standards. Extensions built on it are API- and event-based and triggered on demand, and they consume SAP and non-SAP applications. The runtime scales by consumption, and a Standard cluster is deployed on AWS, Google Cloud or Microsoft Azure; there are also a free plan on Amazon Web Services and a trial.
