The service integration edge is the body of the demo: the metadata of the ECC flight service is saved as an EDMX file, imported with cds import so the model holds the structure and none of the data, projected read-only into a flight service, and one line of handler code forwards each read to ECC, with filtering, sorting and paging translated down to the older OData version the system speaks.
