One class, ZCL_ABAP2XLSX_HELPER, with a method per thing a report usually does with a spreadsheet: EXCEL_DOWNLOAD converts an internal table to an Excel file and starts the download, EXCEL_UPLOAD reads an uploaded Excel file back into a table, and EXCEL_EMAIL sends the table as an Excel attachment, converting in the background so the call itself finishes quickly. CONVERT_ABAP_TO_EXCEL, CONVERT_JSON_TO_EXCEL and CONVERT_EXCEL_TO_ABAP move data between an Excel XSTRING, JSON and an internal table, and GET_XSTRING_FROM_SMW0 reads an image out of SMW0 to pass into a download. The repository also ships FPM enhancements for list UIBBs, whose buttons call EXCEL_DOWNLOAD and EXCEL_EMAIL. abap2xlsxabap2xlsxA library that reads and generates .xlsx Excel workbooks directly from ABAP data, without exporting through a list viewer, installed through abapGit and tested from SAP_ABA 731.independent, abap has to be installed first.
