SAP-samples/teched2025-AD163
A TechEd 2025 fusion-development workshop that models a Shopping Cart RAP business object graphically in SAP Build Code, then implements its transactional behaviour in ADT.
The graphical modeller in SAP Build Code creates the CDS data model, projection and service for a Shopping Cart business object; the exercises then move into ABAP Development Tools to implement transactional behaviour and add validations and determinations, finishing with a generated SAP Fiori elements app on top. As of the 2602 release the graphical modeller itself also generates the behaviour definitions, so the generated RAP business objects support transactional behaviour from the start.

Overview
ABAP Cloud is the development model for building clean core compliant apps, services, and extensions on SAP S/4HANA Cloud, SAP S/4HANA, and SAP BTP ABAP Environment. ABAP Cloud covers different development scenarios such as transactional, analytical, inegration, and enterprise search scenarios. The ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP) is the heart of ABAP Cloud for building transactional SAP Fiori apps, OData-based Web API, local APIs, and business events.
This hands-on session introduces attendees to practice fusion development of ABAP Cloud in SAP Build solutions by creating an ABAP Cloud project from SAP Build Code, model the data model and generate a RAP Business Object in SAP BTP ABAP Environment using the graphical modeller in SAP Build Code and to implement the ABAP RESTful application programming model business object using ADT, including an SAP Fiori app on top.
The graphical modeler has been enhanced with 2602 such that it now also generates behavior definitions so that the generated RAP business objects supports transactional behavior from scratch.
