Six CAP features in one package, from replication cache to rate limits
It is a bundle, not a plugin with one job. Depending on it for one feature brings the rest.
CAP Node.js attachments with database, S3, Azure or GCP storage
Monorepo of CAP's SQL database services
Base service shared by CAP's SQLite, PostgreSQL and HANA services
SAP HANA database service for CAP
MCP server for CAP development: model and docs search
The tools are documented as meant for AI models and not a stable API, so anything built to parse `cds-mcp` output rather than to feed a model can break between releases. Its corpus is the CAP documentation, so Fiori elements, BTP service or ABAP questions are not in what `search_docs` indexes.
PostgreSQL database service for CAP
CAP attachments stored in an SAP Document Management repository
If document versions are required, [@cap-js/sdm](artifact:cap-js-sdm) excludes versioned repositories in its [documented restrictions](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/cap-js/sdm/ad13b61f21816ebead2d08264a74521cfb75846c/README.md).
SQLite database service for CAP, in memory during development
CLI for DROP and RENAME schema changes beside @cap-js/postgres
CDS annotation vocabulary for entity search with schema discovery
The metadata is inconsistent: the declared repository is github.com/acme/search-vocab and the README installs @acme/search-vocab, neither of which matches the published name. One release, November 2025.
MCP server with forty-five tools across a Datasphere tenant
It writes and it administers — ETL extraction and database user management are not read operations, and the same connection that profiles a column can move data out of the tenant. Masking is only as good as the configuration naming the fields, so an unlisted sensitive column is an unmasked one.
CAP plugin casting read values back to CDS model types
CAP plugin stripping whitespace from strings on write via @cds.trim
CAP plugin uppercasing strings on write via @cds.uppercase
DB2 adapter for CDS
The README is one line and the package carries no licence field. Last released July 2023. The repository the package declares has been deleted — verified against the GitHub API, not just a failed fetch. The package is still on npm, so it installs; the source it was published from is no longer readable, which is a harder thing to discover than a stale version number.
Fork of cds-dbm with deploy, load, diff and drop tasks
Release and repository quiet for 39 months.
Fiori documentation indexed as embeddings
CAP Node.js runtime
ISO content for CAP's countries, languages, currencies and timezones
Compiler from CDS models to CSN, EDMX and database schemas
Command line client and development toolkit for CAP
Database adapter for SAP HANA in CAP
Multitenancy, tenant provisioning and extensibility for CAP
SAP's Node.js driver for SAP HANA
Node.js deployer for SAP HANA Deployment Infrastructure containers
CAP Node.js attachments plugin with Object Store and malware scanning
SAP's UI elements as standard custom elements
Not where the UI library itself is expected to bind data: the documentation leaves binding a component's content and events to the host framework. Not from a CDN script tag: the project publishes none, so it assumes a build step.
MCP server answering questions on UI5 Web Components
It answers from documentation and never opens your project, so it cannot tell you whether the component you are asking about is the one your application already uses. Node.js v20.17 or v22.9 and above; on Windows the command needs a `cmd /c` prefix.
Modelling layer of ABAP Cloud above database tables
Nothing to choose here and nothing to install: it is what an ABAP Cloud system gives you. It shares a name and a lineage with CAP's CDS but is a different language in a different runtime, and a model does not move between them.
ABAP component importing XLSX or CSV files into RAP business objects
ABAP class for descriptive statistics over an internal table
Generates singleton ABAP cache classes from a macro call
No published releases; repository quiet for 26 months.
Node.js command writing PDF documentation for an ABAP package
Not reachable since 2026-10-20.
Office add-in running an abap2UI5 app in Excel's task pane
In-browser ABAP editor beside the abap2UI5 app it builds
A `SELECT` from a business table has nothing to select from: the database in the page holds the framework's own tables, and nothing can reach outside the browser, so an app that reads a system's data cannot be tried here. Only the UI5 libraries built in are available and a control from anywhere else will not load; what the transpiler cannot compile is reported in the output panel rather than run. State lives in the tab — a reload, and a press of Run, starts over on a fresh database.
129 abap2UI5 sample apps, one ABAP class each
A sample that needs something the system provides is not here — the samples-stack repository holds the OData, RAP, WebSocket and launchpad demos, and samples-controls the rebuilds of the UI5 Demo Kit originals. Every class in `src/` keeps to controls and properties available since UI5 1.71 and not deprecated, apart from two clipboard samples marked `(UI5 1.119+)`, so a newer control is not demonstrated here. Numbers are handed out per repository and reused across the three, so `493` alone does not name a sample: `Z2UI5_CL_SMP_APP_493` is the Hello World here.
Eleven abap2UI5 apps, one per open-source ABAP library
Not on ABAP Cloud: most of the libraries use APIs that are not released there, and the repository has no ABAP Cloud gate yet. Not beyond a development system without authorisation checks added first — the samples carry none of their own, the abap-fm-logger sample reads the log table `ZAFL_LOG` with whatever the logged calls received and returned, and the abap_fm_json sample calls function modules, limited to a hard-coded whitelist.
Upload, edit and download ABAP table content as JSON, CSV or XLSX
Not an end-user app: it reads from any table the user names and writes into tables of the Z/Y namespace, with no authorisation check of its own, so the README asks a project to add its own checks on `S_TABU_DIS`/`S_TABU_NAM` and to restrict who may run it before it is used beyond a development system. XLSX upload and download are not ready for ABAP Cloud yet, and of the upload apps only the JSON one writes the file's rows back to the database.
UI5 Demo Kit samples rebuilt as abap2UI5 apps
The 221 ports under `src/02` need a UI5 runtime newer than 1.71: they install and activate on any release, and on an older UI5 the newer control does not render. The `src/03` collection is hand-written for SAPUI5-only controls and needs a SAPUI5 bootstrap. There are no per-library branches, so pulling the whole repository is the one way in and the activation takes a few minutes.
Maps clipboard, Excel or text data onto a declared ABAP structure
No published releases; repository quiet for 31 months.
Utility for update task database changes and internal tables in ABAP
ABAP OData service for attachments and comments via GOS
No published releases; repository quiet for 66 months.
Exports and imports ABAP table content as zipped JSON
Helper methods over abap2xlsx for Excel, JSON and tables
MCP server for BW/4HANA modelling objects
Its README says it plainly and so does this entry: this is not a simulation, every tool call reaches a live BW system, and write operations produce real changes. BW modelling objects are the definition of a warehouse — the blast radius of a wrong one is every report built on it.
CAP Node.js attachments plugin with database or cloud storage
Collaborative draft support for CAP Node.js services
The maintainer marks this under active development; public APIs, annotation names and OData contracts may still change.
Annotation-driven geocoding, address correction and routing for CAP
Nothing about it is readable from outside the package: there is no repository, no issue tracker, and the npm page carries no readme, so the README, the examples and the changelog can be read only from the tarball or a CDN mirror, and a bug has nowhere to be filed. Provider URLs are called from the plugin with API keys taken from environment variables in a .env file, so on BTP no call resolves through a destination and the keys live in the environment. The npm line stops at 1.0.1 on 3 November 2025; the changelog shipped inside that version is headed v2.1, so the version npm shows and the version the author counts are not the same.
Tunnels CAP Node.js to a private PostgreSQL via Cloud Connector
CAP database adapter for Snowflake with OData V4 support
The maintainer marks this early development; expect the contract to move.
User details and quickview links for createdBy and modifiedBy
npx tool adding worked example files to a CAP project
Last released April 2024.
Maps classic dictionary tables and fields to CDS entities and fields
No license Neither the package manifest nor the repository tree declares a licence.
Functional boundary Marked BETA and called a first prototype on its own page, which names where it is wrong: when fields are mapped with CAST, CASE, ABS and other CDS functions there may still be errors in the fields, so a mapping that goes through one of those needs checking against the view it came from.
CAP caching plugin for query results and remote service responses
When user-dependent responses are cached without user-aware or explicit operation keys, or translated responses share keys across locales. These cases require key isolation; locale-aware keys are off by default.
Data federation for CAP via delegation, caching and replication
Scheduled READ, MAP, WRITE pipelines between CAP services
Delta deployment and migrations for CAP database adapters
Archived The declared repository is archived.
Functional boundary The repository is archived, so nothing here will move again. Fine to keep where it already runs; anything new should start from what the current cds deploy leaves open rather than from this.
CAP Java plugin for soft delete with a softdelete aspect
No license Neither the package manifest nor the repository tree declares a licence.
Functional boundary The Maven coordinate its README gives, io.github.miyasuta:cds-feature-softdelete:1.0.0, does not resolve on Maven Central as of 2026-09-07 — you build and install it from source.
CAP-to-CAP data federation over SAP HANA synonyms
When your adoption policy excludes experimental dependencies: the [maintainer’s README](https://github.com/cap-js/cds-federation-synonyms#about-this-project) explicitly labels this plugin experimental.
cds add plugin adding the incidents-app model to a project
MongoDB as a CAP database service through Mongoose
It declares no peer range on [@sap/cds](artifact:sap-cds) and publishes no repository, so there is nothing to read but the package itself and no CI to look at.
MySQL and MariaDB database adapter for CAP
The repository the package declares has been deleted — verified against the GitHub API, not just a failed fetch. The package is still on npm, so it installs; the source it was published from is no longer readable, which is a harder thing to discover than a stale version number.
Fills a CDS element from a database-backed number range
PostgreSQL adapter for SAP CDS from the SAP Mentors community
The declared repository is archived.
CAP plugin turning DELETE into a flag on annotated entities
It changes what DELETE means for every client of the annotated projection, so anything that must actually remove a row — an erasure request, a retention job — has to go around it.
Spreadsheet upload into a CDS entity, parsed on the server
Maps database tables and fields to the CDS views exposing them
Not on the [SAP BTP ABAP environment](artifact:btp-abap-environment) or another cloud ABAP system: the maintainer states the tool is not cloud ready, because the data sources and system tables it reads CDS metadata from are not released for cloud development. It is designed for SAP S/4HANA on-premise or private cloud, and the shipped Fiori application is configured for A4H and developer systems.
Open, versioned style guide for ABAP
Hosted workspace redrawing custom ABAP as BPMN and grading it
Not reachable Not reachable since 2026-10-20.
Functional boundary The Level A–D grade merges SAP's two published files in the tool's own engine: it is an orientation rather than an ATC result and is left out of the signed audit pack, and the repository documents state by state where the grade is expected to differ from what the clean core ATC check reports. Nothing here runs ABAP Unit — on the RAP track that result is recorded from your own SAP system, and generated CAP tests run against mocks in an isolated runner rather than in a real SAP S/4HANA system. Tenants, organisation accounts, single sign-on, a self-hosted edition and write access through an API are deliberately not built, and one account has five analysis runs before a Gemini API key of its own is needed.
ATC and Code Inspector checks for Clean ABAP
This is the legacy edition, for on-premise systems from SAP_BASIS 7.40. On ABAP Cloud, [the Cloud Edition](artifact:sap-code-pal-for-abap-cloud) is the one that runs.
Clean ABAP check set for ABAP Cloud
CAP Java attachments with database storage and an Object Store module
For deployed environments, the [README](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/cap-java/cds-feature-attachments/302f61c8bb76a0f54f43482ad91d89bf7dc5540f/README.md) excludes the cds-feature-attachments-fs file-system target, which is intended only for local development and testing.
SAP HANA Cloud datasource for CAP Java applications
JDBC runtime for H2 and SQLite in CAP Java
PostgreSQL datasource for CAP Java applications
Maven bill of materials pinning CAP Java module versions
CAP Java plugin for attachments in SAP Document Management
If document versions are required, the [documented restrictions](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/cap-java/sdm/673769f24ef66fd97daa6a6be41262d45065d3fe/README.md) exclude versioned repositories.
Custom Table Editor editing table rows in an editable ALV grid
Release and repository quiet for 80 months.
dbt adapter targeting SAP HANA Cloud as its warehouse
DuckDB extension reading SAP ERP tables, CDS views and BW queries
DataZoo GmbH calls the extension experimental and states that minimal testing and benchmarking were done. The Business Source License 1.1 it carries restricts offering the software to third parties on a hosted or embedded basis, so an embedding product needs a commercial licence. Telemetry is on by default and is switched off per session with `SET erpl_telemetry_enabled = false` or for the machine with `DATAZOO_DISABLE_TELEMETRY=1`.
Generates local classes from FORM-based ABAP programs
No published releases; repository quiet for 67 months.
Pure JavaScript SAP HANA driver for Node.js
Its own feature comparison marks connection pooling, automatic reconnect, active-active reads, client-side data encryption, statement distribution, Kerberos authentication, the hdbuserstore, promises and TypeScript types as [@sap/hana-client](https://www.npmjs.com/package/@sap/hana-client) only, so a service that wants a pool or a promise API writes both itself over a callback interface. OpenSSL is its one security provider where the other driver lists SAP CommonCryptoLib, OpenSSL and MSCrypto, and it runs on Node.js 18 or later.
Holds SAP locks across stateless abap2UI5 roundtrips
Where the release and programming model offer durable locks, as RAP draft handling does, the README states that those solve the problem at the kernel level and the lock manager is for where that is not an option. A running handler occupies one background work process for as long as any lock is held, and only generated `ENQUEUE_*` modules can be locked.
Metadata viewer for SAP BW, SAP BPC and SAP BW/4HANA object models
Read-only MCP server for exploring SAP Datasphere
Business Source License 1.1, which is source-available rather than open source: reading and evaluating are fine, and production use is restricted until the licence's change date. That is a procurement question, not a technical one, and it is the thing to settle first. Read-only also means read-only — no modelling, no loads.
MCP server searching seventeen SAP documentation repositories
It reads documentation, never a system: nothing in it opens a package.json, a CDS model or an ABAP client, so a question about what your own project does has to be answered elsewhere. The offline half is only as fresh as the submodules the last build pinned, and the index answers where something is written down rather than which of two packages fits a task.
Reader for Excel spreadsheets in OpenXML format from ABAP
No published releases; repository quiet for 81 months.
Binding onto hyperscaler object storage, chosen by plan
Concurrent and cross-session locking for open-abap on PostgreSQL
Neither the package manifest nor the repository tree declares a licence.
Table maintenance over HTTP for a table fixed in code
Not for a table whose contents matter, and not for one chosen at run time: the name of the table is fixed in the calling code, and the maintainer's own warning is "only hardcode the table name, don't use with important tables, use at own risk!"
ABAP class stripping invalid characters in BW end routines
No published releases; repository quiet for 24 months.
Framework for BW transformation start routines from a table
No published releases; repository quiet for 72 months.
Managed PostgreSQL from the hyperscaler via a BTP service binding
Managed Redis from the hyperscaler via a BTP service binding
SaaS for business intelligence, planning and predictive analytics
A tenant with its own model layer, its own transport and its own user administration — content moves between tenants through export and import jobs rather than through your pipeline, and planning brings a calendar and a workflow that a reporting-only use never touches.
Managed SAP ASE databases on BTP for Java applications
Data products, a governed catalog and a path to SAP Databricks
It presumes the estate it governs: intelligent content is installed and viewed rather than authored, and the catalog is only as useful as what has been published into it. The Databricks path is a direction data goes, which is a decision about where analytics happens and not only about a tool.
APIs for address cleansing, geocoding and suggestions
Cloud data warehouse with spaces, views and analytic models
A tenant with spaces and a role model, not a database you point an application at — privileges are granted per space, and what somebody can model depends on the scoped role they hold. Federation is the default answer to moving data, and where it is not, a load has to be scheduled and watched.
Eighteen Datasphere skills over a bundled MCP server
It reaches a data warehouse, so what an agent can see is business data by definition — the SQL sanitisation and PII filtering in the server are there because of that, not instead of a decision about it. And the guidance is Datasphere-shaped: nothing here transfers to a HANA Cloud database used directly.
Ready-to-use web application for enterprise content
APIs and a UI5 component for document management in apps
SAP's relational database platform, on-premise and in HANA Cloud
For provisioning a managed database on BTP, see [SAP HANA Cloud](artifact:btp-hana-cloud). Features differ between HANA versions; an on-premise deployment and a cloud instance are not interchangeable without compatibility checks.
Managed SAP HANA database service on BTP
Provisioned per plan and per component, so capacity and cost are decisions taken before any model exists. And it is the database, not a warehouse — modelling, loading and cataloguing are the products above it, and reaching it directly bypasses every semantic they add.
Managed SAP HANA 2.0 databases in fixed sizes on SAP BTP
APIs for geocoding, map tiles and routing
Cloud service replicating master data across a hybrid landscape
MCP server for the SAP Analytics Cloud REST API
Ninety tools is a large surface to put in front of a model at once, and client-credentials OAuth means the tenant sees one identity rather than the person asking. Content transport and user management sit in the same tool list as reading a story.
MCP server with semantic search over SAP AI Core documentation
Neither the package manifest nor the repository tree declares a licence.
Read-only MCP server over the SAP Business Accelerator Hub
The maintainer states it is unofficial, not endorsed by SAP, and that it uses authenticated Hub web and catalogue endpoints and browser session cookies in ways SAP's terms of service, SAP account terms or an organisation's own policies may restrict. The same README asks the reader not to use it for production, broad distribution or shared access without explicit approval, and says that installing it grants no permission to automate SAP services.
MCP tooling for SAP Business Data Cloud discovery and contracts
Business Source License 1.1: source-available, with production use restricted until the change date — settle that before anything technical. And the governed execution path in v0.2 does act on data, which is a different grant from the discovery the v0.1 baseline offered.
MCP server managing Delta shares in SAP Business Data Cloud
MCP server with semantic search over SAP BTP documentation
Neither the package manifest nor the repository tree declares a licence.
CAP Node.js plugin mapping CDS entities to SAP Document Management
Archived The declared repository is archived.
Functional boundary For versioned or thumbnail-enabled repositories, or bulk upload and download, the [README](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/vneecious/sap-cap-sdm-plugin/d9f036b16542e5c5b9b6dc704e0ba5f880193212/README.md) labels this an “early release” and lists those features as unsupported.
MCP server searching and fetching SAP Notes and KBAs
It needs an S-user with SAP Support Portal access, so there is nothing to search without a support contract behind the login. The maintainer states it uses private SAP APIs behind authentication, asks the reader to check whether that use breaches SAP's terms of service, and disclaims both liability and any guarantee that it keeps working. MFA is handled only by typing the code into a visible browser, so a headless deployment cannot complete a login that demands one.
MCP server over SAP Road Map Explorer
What it returns is planning material, not a commitment, and the monorepo labels the server's role "future/planned features (planning only)". The maintainer also states it is unofficial, not endorsed by SAP, and that it uses authenticated Road Map Explorer web endpoints and browser session cookies in ways SAP's terms of service or an organisation's policies may restrict, with production, broad distribution and shared access called out as needing explicit approval. An account that requires MFA has to be bootstrapped once through a visible browser.
Samples for the six extension types of SAP Digital Manufacturing
Nothing here runs on its own: a plugin sample needs a Digital Manufacturing tenant to be uploaded into, and the integration samples need a Cloud Integration tenant plus an ERP system, or a mock server as the outbound example uses, before they do anything.
Developer-centric command line for SAP HANA
Promise-based wrappers around the SAP HANA client libraries
Browser-based table maintenance UI built on abap2UI5
The app writes to whatever table is passed in the URL parameter `table` and carries no authorisation check of its own, so past a development system it needs authorisation checks added and a restriction on who may run it.
UI5 component adding a spreadsheet upload dialog to Fiori apps
Hosted app listing changes between SAPUI5 or OpenUI5 versions
No license Neither the package manifest nor the repository tree declares a licence.
Functional boundary It reports what the change log says, not what your application uses, so it cannot tell you which of the listed changes touches your code. The repository carries no licence file, which leaves the code itself with no grant attached even though the hosted app is open to use.
UI5 control library for file upload and download in front of CAP
VS Code side bar view of the SAPUI5 and OpenUI5 API reference
Generic ABAP table editor writing its own change documents
