Application Autoscaler

A Cloud Foundry service that raises or lowers the number of an application's instances by the scaling rules and schedules in a policy the developer defines.

Application Autoscaler raises or lowers the number of instances of an application on SAP BTP, Cloud Foundry Runtime by the policies its developer defines. A policy scales on a standard metric, memory consumed, CPU, response time or throughput, or on custom metrics defined to match the application. Besides scaling rules, a policy document carries schedules; the Standard plan, the service's only plan, allows ten of each per policy document.

[Logging](capability:logging), [telemetry](capability:telemetry) and [health checks](capability:health-checks) observe; this acts on what they report. Running an application's own recurring work is [job scheduling](capability:job-scheduling).DeploymentBTPDeploymentcapabilityGetting an application onto a runtime and keeping it there: build descriptors, deployment topology, service bindings and lifecycle operations. The target runtime determines how the application is packaged and configured.
