ADT resources

The HTTP endpoint an ABAP system exposes as the adt ICF service under /sap/bc/adt, so a client outside the system can reach development objects, delivered with the platform rather than installed.

ABAP source lives in a system. SAP's own page for accessing ADT resources is an HTTP endpoint the administrator activates as the adt ICF service under default_host sap bc, after which a web client can reach development objects from outside. ABAP Development Tools for Eclipse is the Eclipse client of that connection; ABAP Development Tools for VS Code is the same back end in a second editor. Community MCP servers call the same ICF service without Eclipse.
