Six CAP features in one package, from replication cache to rate limits
It is a bundle, not a plugin with one job. Depending on it for one feature brings the rest.
CAP Node.js attachments with database, S3, Azure or GCP storage
Monorepo of CAP's SQL database services
Base service shared by CAP's SQLite, PostgreSQL and HANA services
SAP HANA database service for CAP
MCP server for CAP development: model and docs search
The tools are documented as meant for AI models and not a stable API, so anything built to parse `cds-mcp` output rather than to feed a model can break between releases. Its corpus is the CAP documentation, so Fiori elements, BTP service or ABAP questions are not in what `search_docs` indexes.
Triggers n8n workflows from a CAP application
PostgreSQL database service for CAP
Starts and manages SAP Build Process Automation processes from CAP
CAP attachments stored in an SAP Document Management repository
If document versions are required, [@cap-js/sdm](artifact:cap-js-sdm) excludes versioned repositories in its [documented restrictions](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/cap-js/sdm/ad13b61f21816ebead2d08264a74521cfb75846c/README.md).
SQLite database service for CAP, in memory during development
CLI for DROP and RENAME schema changes beside @cap-js/postgres
CDS annotation vocabulary for entity search with schema discovery
The metadata is inconsistent: the declared repository is github.com/acme/search-vocab and the README installs @acme/search-vocab, neither of which matches the published name. One release, November 2025.
MCP server with forty-five tools across a Datasphere tenant
It writes and it administers — ETL extraction and database user management are not read operations, and the same connection that profiles a column can move data out of the tenant. Masking is only as good as the configuration naming the fields, so an unlisted sensitive column is an unmasked one.
CAP plugin casting read values back to CDS model types
CAP plugin stripping whitespace from strings on write via @cds.trim
CAP plugin uppercasing strings on write via @cds.uppercase
DB2 adapter for CDS
The README is one line and the package carries no licence field. Last released July 2023. The repository the package declares has been deleted — verified against the GitHub API, not just a failed fetch. The package is still on npm, so it installs; the source it was published from is no longer readable, which is a harder thing to discover than a stale version number.
Fork of cds-dbm with deploy, load, diff and drop tasks
Release and repository quiet for 39 months.

CAP Node.js attachments plugin with Object Store and malware scanning
SAP's UI elements as standard custom elements
Not where the UI library itself is expected to bind data: the documentation leaves binding a component's content and events to the host framework. Not from a CDN script tag: the project publishes none, so it assumes a build step.
MCP server answering questions on UI5 Web Components
It answers from documentation and never opens your project, so it cannot tell you whether the component you are asking about is the one your application already uses. Node.js v20.17 or v22.9 and above; on Windows the command needs a `cmd /c` prefix.
Modelling layer of ABAP Cloud above database tables
Nothing to choose here and nothing to install: it is what an ABAP Cloud system gives you. It shares a name and a lineage with CAP's CDS but is a different language in a different runtime, and a model does not move between them.
ABAP component importing XLSX or CSV files into RAP business objects
ABAP class for descriptive statistics over an internal table
Generates singleton ABAP cache classes from a macro call
No published releases; repository quiet for 26 months.
Node.js command writing PDF documentation for an ABAP package
Not reachable since 2026-10-20.
Office add-in running an abap2UI5 app in Excel's task pane
In-browser ABAP editor beside the abap2UI5 app it builds
A `SELECT` from a business table has nothing to select from: the database in the page holds the framework's own tables, and nothing can reach outside the browser, so an app that reads a system's data cannot be tried here. Only the UI5 libraries built in are available and a control from anywhere else will not load; what the transpiler cannot compile is reported in the output panel rather than run. State lives in the tab — a reload, and a press of Run, starts over on a fresh database.
129 abap2UI5 sample apps, one ABAP class each
A sample that needs something the system provides is not here — the samples-stack repository holds the OData, RAP, WebSocket and launchpad demos, and samples-controls the rebuilds of the UI5 Demo Kit originals. Every class in `src/` keeps to controls and properties available since UI5 1.71 and not deprecated, apart from two clipboard samples marked `(UI5 1.119+)`, so a newer control is not demonstrated here. Numbers are handed out per repository and reused across the three, so `493` alone does not name a sample: `Z2UI5_CL_SMP_APP_493` is the Hello World here.
Eleven abap2UI5 apps, one per open-source ABAP library
Not on ABAP Cloud: most of the libraries use APIs that are not released there, and the repository has no ABAP Cloud gate yet. Not beyond a development system without authorisation checks added first — the samples carry none of their own, the abap-fm-logger sample reads the log table `ZAFL_LOG` with whatever the logged calls received and returned, and the abap_fm_json sample calls function modules, limited to a hard-coded whitelist.
Upload, edit and download ABAP table content as JSON, CSV or XLSX
Not an end-user app: it reads from any table the user names and writes into tables of the Z/Y namespace, with no authorisation check of its own, so the README asks a project to add its own checks on `S_TABU_DIS`/`S_TABU_NAM` and to restrict who may run it before it is used beyond a development system. XLSX upload and download are not ready for ABAP Cloud yet, and of the upload apps only the JSON one writes the file's rows back to the database.
UI5 Demo Kit samples rebuilt as abap2UI5 apps
The 221 ports under `src/02` need a UI5 runtime newer than 1.71: they install and activate on any release, and on an older UI5 the newer control does not render. The `src/03` collection is hand-written for SAPUI5-only controls and needs a SAPUI5 bootstrap. There are no per-library branches, so pulling the whole repository is the one way in and the activation takes a few minutes.
Maps clipboard, Excel or text data onto a declared ABAP structure
No published releases; repository quiet for 31 months.
Utility for update task database changes and internal tables in ABAP
ABAP OData service for attachments and comments via GOS
No published releases; repository quiet for 66 months.
Exports and imports ABAP table content as zipped JSON
Helper methods over abap2xlsx for Excel, JSON and tables
MCP server for BW/4HANA modelling objects
Its README says it plainly and so does this entry: this is not a simulation, every tool call reaches a live BW system, and write operations produce real changes. BW modelling objects are the definition of a warehouse — the blast radius of a wrong one is every report built on it.
CAP Node.js attachments plugin with database or cloud storage
Collaborative draft support for CAP Node.js services
The maintainer marks this under active development; public APIs, annotation names and OData contracts may still change.
Annotation-driven geocoding, address correction and routing for CAP
Nothing about it is readable from outside the package: there is no repository, no issue tracker, and the npm page carries no readme, so the README, the examples and the changelog can be read only from the tarball or a CDN mirror, and a bug has nowhere to be filed. Provider URLs are called from the plugin with API keys taken from environment variables in a .env file, so on BTP no call resolves through a destination and the keys live in the environment. The npm line stops at 1.0.1 on 3 November 2025; the changelog shipped inside that version is headed v2.1, so the version npm shows and the version the author counts are not the same.
Integration of CAP with n8n workflows and triggers
Tunnels CAP Node.js to a private PostgreSQL via Cloud Connector
CAP database adapter for Snowflake with OData V4 support
The maintainer marks this early development; expect the contract to move.

ABAP Keyword Documentation as Markdown with indexes
The Markdown is a snapshot of whatever help.sap.com served when the pipeline last ran, and the Standard library is scraped from the `latest` index, so which release a page describes follows from the scrape date rather than from anything the corpus states. `package.json` states ISC and the repository carries no LICENSE file, so what the copied SAP documentation may be used for is not stated in it.

Chat app on CAP and SAPUI5 against the OpenAI API
It calls the OpenAI API directly with a key in the environment. It was written in early 2023 and last touched in May 2023, which is before SAP AI Core and the CAP LLM plugins existed — so read it for the shape of the application, not for how a CAP service should reach a model today.
