Business-level metrics from CDS annotations via @cap-js/telemetry
Six CAP features in one package, from replication cache to rate limits
It is a bundle, not a plugin with one job. Depending on it for one feature brings the rest.
Transactional processing of asynchronous and periodic CAP events
If you need sub-second fan-out to external consumers this is the wrong layer — reach for [Event Mesh](artifact:btp-event-mesh) or Kafka. Without [Redis](external:redis), periodic processing still works but instant dispatch degrades to polling.
Live-updatable feature toggles for CAP, backed by Redis
CLI for operating tenants of multitenant CAP applications
CAP Node.js attachments with database, S3, Azure or GCP storage
CAP integration with the SAP Audit Log service
Generates Helm charts for the CAP Operator on Kubernetes
Monorepo of CAP's SQL database services
Base service shared by CAP's SQLite, PostgreSQL and HANA services
SAP HANA database service for CAP
MCP server for CAP development: model and docs search
The tools are documented as meant for AI models and not a stable API, so anything built to parse `cds-mcp` output rather than to feed a model can break between releases. Its corpus is the CAP documentation, so Fiori elements, BTP service or ABAP questions are not in what `search_docs` indexes.
PostgreSQL database service for CAP
CAP attachments stored in an SAP Document Management repository
If document versions are required, [@cap-js/sdm](artifact:cap-js-sdm) excludes versioned repositories in its [documented restrictions](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/cap-js/sdm/ad13b61f21816ebead2d08264a74521cfb75846c/README.md).
SQLite database service for CAP, in memory during development
OpenTelemetry instrumentation for CAP services
CLI for DROP and RENAME schema changes beside @cap-js/postgres
CDS annotation vocabulary for entity search with schema discovery
The metadata is inconsistent: the declared repository is github.com/acme/search-vocab and the README installs @acme/search-vocab, neither of which matches the published name. One release, November 2025.
MCP server with forty-five tools across a Datasphere tenant
It writes and it administers — ETL extraction and database user management are not read operations, and the same connection that profiles a column can move data out of the tenant. Masking is only as good as the configuration naming the fields, so an unlisted sensitive column is an unmasked one.
CAP plugin casting read values back to CDS model types
CAP plugin stripping whitespace from strings on write via @cds.trim
CAP plugin uppercasing strings on write via @cds.uppercase
Framework core: module loader, MVC runtime, binding, routing, theming
DB2 adapter for CDS
The README is one line and the package carries no licence field. Last released July 2023. The repository the package declares has been deleted — verified against the GitHub API, not just a failed fetch. The package is still on npm, so it installs; the source it was published from is no longer readable, which is a harder thing to discover than a stale version number.
Fork of cds-dbm with deploy, load, diff and drop tasks
Release and repository quiet for 39 months.
Tool completing a CAP project's deployment configuration
Tied to a specific training repository and last released August 2023. The repository the package declares has been deleted — verified against the GitHub API, not just a failed fetch. The package is still on npm, so it installs; the source it was published from is no longer readable, which is a harder thing to discover than a stale version number.
CAP plugin controlling CDS logger and OpenTelemetry log verbosity
VS Code Multi-Target Application tools
Fiori documentation indexed as embeddings
Library for sending usage telemetry data
MTA generation and Cloud Foundry deploy for VS Code workspaces
A library a VS Code extension calls, not something installed and run on its own; there is no documented standalone CLI. No public repository either, so what it does is read from its own README rather than checked against source.
CAP Node.js runtime
ISO content for CAP's countries, languages, currencies and timezones
Compiler from CDS models to CSN, EDMX and database schemas
Command line client and development toolkit for CAP
Database adapter for SAP HANA in CAP
Multitenancy, tenant provisioning and extensibility for CAP
WebAssembly sandbox for tenant-specific extension code in CAP
SAP Passport handling for Node.js components
SAP's Node.js driver for SAP HANA
Node.js deployer for SAP HANA Deployment Infrastructure containers
CLI to build, deploy, migrate and validate MDK projects
Specific to MDK metadata projects — nothing here builds or deploys a CAP service or a plain Fiori app. Closed-source, under SAP's own developer licence rather than a public repository.
Log fetcher and parser for one Cloud Foundry app
Read-only query tool for metrics in SAP Cloud Logging
Read-only query tool for OpenTelemetry spans in SAP Cloud Logging
Merged log tail of every started app in a Cloud Foundry space
CAP Node.js attachments plugin with Object Store and malware scanning
SAP's UI elements as standard custom elements
Not where the UI library itself is expected to bind data: the documentation leaves binding a component's content and events to the host framework. Not from a CDN script tag: the project publishes none, so it assumes a build step.
MCP server answering questions on UI5 Web Components
It answers from documentation and never opens your project, so it cannot tell you whether the component you are asking about is the one your application already uses. Node.js v20.17 or v22.9 and above; on Windows the command needs a `cmd /c` prefix.
Library for managing ABAP constants from registered sources
Quiet No published releases; repository quiet for 41 months.
Functional boundary Not in a production environment yet: the maintainer puts abaK in beta, says its API can still change and more tests are needed, and asks that a non-beta release be waited for.
Modelling layer of ABAP Cloud above database tables
Nothing to choose here and nothing to install: it is what an ABAP Cloud system gives you. It shares a name and a lineage with CAP's CDS but is a different language in a different runtime, and a model does not move between them.
VS Code extension editing ABAP systems over ADT as a filesystem
Converts classic Open SQL SELECTs to released CDS entities
In beta by its own page's account, where conversion bugs may occur and not all functions and variants are supported yet. The shapes named as not yet supported are sub selects, FOR ALL ENTRIES, functions such as count and sum, and the IN operator with a value list, so a statement built on one of those is outside what the converter sets out to do.
ABAP component importing XLSX or CSV files into RAP business objects
ABAP class for descriptive statistics over an internal table
Object-oriented wrapper around the Business Application Log
CLI that pulls and pushes ABAP packages as local files over ADT
A Python 3.10+ CLI, installed with pipx rather than through any SAP-provided package manager. Its own README lists what it does not do yet: where-used, syntax check and unit test runs — for those it says to reach for [ADT/Eclipse](external:eclipse) or an MCP server. First release, v0.1.0, and no standalone LICENSE file in the repository — the MIT grant is in the README and in pyproject.toml's project metadata rather than its own file.
Generates singleton ABAP cache classes from a macro call
No published releases; repository quiet for 26 months.
Report-style programming model for abap2UI5 on ABAP Cloud
Not a way to run existing reports unchanged: a report is rewritten as a class, and `CALL SCREEN`, dynpro modules, batch input, `SUBMIT` and native SQL are refused by the converter rather than mapped. Not an SAP GUI in the browser either: the programming model is classic and the screens are UI5, and the README points at abap2UI5-addons/sapgui for SE16N or SM37. Output has gaps the README names — ALV cells show dates and times as the model carries them rather than in the user's format, print is a text file because ABAP Cloud has no spool, and value tables for F4 are read on premise only.
Chainable logger for ABAP Cloud around CL_BALI_LOG
Node.js command writing PDF documentation for an ABAP package
Not reachable since 2026-10-20.
Framework for runtime parameters, ranges and value mappings in ABAP
Feature toggle for ABAP read via is_active on view ZFEAT_TOGGLE
Fluentd client in ABAP for sending log lines to a collector
No published releases; repository quiet for 96 months.
Logger storing RFC function module call parameters as JSON
Generic customizing table and reader for ad hoc ABAP parameters
ABAP logging library with one interface across output targets
No published releases; repository quiet for 36 months.
Exports Business Application Log entries to Graylog or Loki
No published releases; repository quiet for 41 months.
Logging library for ABAP over the Application Log
Message logger for ABAP Cloud that saves to the Application Log
Exposes ABAP stack metrics to a monitoring tool
The declared repository is archived.
OTLP serialisation of traces, metrics and logs in ABAP
Framework activating custom ABAP enhancements through a Fiori app
Anything below SAP S/4HANA 2023 FPS03 (ABAP 7.58), and any system not running the ABAP Cloud development model: those two are the prerequisites the README names, and it states that the framework targets ABAP Cloud exclusively.
Framework for multi-step ABAP processes with monitoring
Only on SAP S/4HANA 2023 and 2025, on premise or private cloud: [SAP S/4HANA Cloud, Public Edition](external:sap-s4hana-cloud-public-edition) and the [SAP BTP ABAP environment](artifact:btp-abap-environment) are listed as coming soon, and a 2023 system has to leave out `ZABAP_PRC_EVENTS_SE_2025`, whose event-based side effects rely on APIs released with S/4HANA 2025. Not for a system that already carries a copy, because object names are global and two versions cannot live side by side, and not for a productive system by way of the `ZABAP_PRC_DEMO*` packages, which the README states are not intended for one and whose init classes delete and rebuild their own tables on every run. While the major version is 0 the public API is not stable: minor bumps carry breaking changes with no deprecation period, so productive use means pinning a tag and reading the CHANGELOG before every upgrade.
Prometheus client for ABAP, installed with abapGit
No published releases; repository quiet for 39 months.
Injectable wrapper for SY fields and date functions in ABAP Cloud
Helper class for reading TVARVC parameters and select-options
No published releases; repository quiet for 33 months.
Office add-in running an abap2UI5 app in Excel's task pane
In-browser ABAP editor beside the abap2UI5 app it builds
A `SELECT` from a business table has nothing to select from: the database in the page holds the framework's own tables, and nothing can reach outside the browser, so an app that reads a system's data cannot be tried here. Only the UI5 libraries built in are available and a control from anywhere else will not load; what the transpiler cannot compile is reported in the output panel rather than run. State lives in the tab — a reload, and a press of Run, starts over on a fresh database.
129 abap2UI5 sample apps, one ABAP class each
A sample that needs something the system provides is not here — the samples-stack repository holds the OData, RAP, WebSocket and launchpad demos, and samples-controls the rebuilds of the UI5 Demo Kit originals. Every class in `src/` keeps to controls and properties available since UI5 1.71 and not deprecated, apart from two clipboard samples marked `(UI5 1.119+)`, so a newer control is not demonstrated here. Numbers are handed out per repository and reused across the three, so `493` alone does not name a sample: `Z2UI5_CL_SMP_APP_493` is the Hello World here.
Eleven abap2UI5 apps, one per open-source ABAP library
Not on ABAP Cloud: most of the libraries use APIs that are not released there, and the repository has no ABAP Cloud gate yet. Not beyond a development system without authorisation checks added first — the samples carry none of their own, the abap-fm-logger sample reads the log table `ZAFL_LOG` with whatever the logged calls received and returned, and the abap_fm_json sample calls function modules, limited to a hard-coded whitelist.
Upload, edit and download ABAP table content as JSON, CSV or XLSX
Not an end-user app: it reads from any table the user names and writes into tables of the Z/Y namespace, with no authorisation check of its own, so the README asks a project to add its own checks on `S_TABU_DIS`/`S_TABU_NAM` and to restrict who may run it before it is used beyond a development system. XLSX upload and download are not ready for ABAP Cloud yet, and of the upload apps only the JSON one writes the file's rows back to the database.
UI5 Demo Kit samples rebuilt as abap2UI5 apps
The 221 ports under `src/02` need a UI5 runtime newer than 1.71: they install and activate on any release, and on an older UI5 the newer control does not render. The `src/03` collection is hand-written for SAPUI5-only controls and needs a SAPUI5 bootstrap. There are no per-library branches, so pulling the whole repository is the one way in and the activation takes a few minutes.
Maps clipboard, Excel or text data onto a declared ABAP structure
No published releases; repository quiet for 31 months.
Promise and async/await implementation for ABAP
No published releases; repository quiet for 36 months.
Framework for running ABAP work units in parallel tasks
Quiet No published releases; repository quiet for 57 months.
Functional boundary The maintainer states the current state has never been used in real-world scenarios: the demo reports in package ZAPS_DEMO and the unit tests are the only runs reported, and the release table marks SAP_BASIS 740 unclear, 754 as the release it was developed on, and 750 to 756 as expected to work.
SAP GUI transaction for one-click transports of copies
VS Code extension automating ActiveControl transport forms
Usage, error and response-time monitor for abap2UI5
It sees [abap2UI5](artifact:abap2ui5-abap2ui5) only: the figures come from the framework's HTTP handler, its monitor hook and its draft table, so nothing outside abap2UI5 appears in them. The usage, error and performance tabs stay empty until the handler line is in place or the user exit sets `check_monitor_active`. Recording which employee used which application, when and how fast, is subject to works council co-determination in Germany (§ 87 (1) no. 6 BetrVG); user tracking is `HASH` by default, `NAME` stores user names, and the request recorder keeps the complete request and response of every roundtrip for two days by default.
Injects the Dynatrace agent into Java applications on SAP BTP
Utility for update task database changes and internal tables in ABAP
Scales Cloud Foundry app instances by policy rules and schedules
ABAP application options as a structure with a generated editor
ABAP OData service for attachments and comments via GOS
No published releases; repository quiet for 66 months.
UI5 app and CAP service copying role collections between subaccounts
Quiet No published releases; repository quiet for 54 months.
No license Neither the package manifest nor the repository tree declares a licence.
Exports and imports ABAP table content as zipped JSON
Helper methods over abap2xlsx for Excel, JSON and tables
BTP Core Services as MCP tools with in-chat dashboards
It administers a real account through Core Services, so what it can change is what the caller can change. And the UI half depends on hosts that render mcp-ui or MCP Apps resources; elsewhere those five tools return markup nobody displays.
Containerised script setting up an SAP BTP account from JSON config
The declared repository is archived.
MCP server for BW/4HANA modelling objects
Its README says it plainly and so does this entry: this is not a simulation, every tool call reaches a live BW system, and write operations produce real changes. BW modelling objects are the definition of a warehouse — the blast radius of a wrong one is every report built on it.
CAP Node.js attachments plugin with database or cloud storage
Collaborative draft support for CAP Node.js services
The maintainer marks this under active development; public APIs, annotation names and OData contracts may still change.
Annotation-driven geocoding, address correction and routing for CAP
Nothing about it is readable from outside the package: there is no repository, no issue tracker, and the npm page carries no readme, so the README, the examples and the changelog can be read only from the tarball or a CDN mirror, and a bug has nowhere to be filed. Provider URLs are called from the plugin with API keys taken from environment variables in a .env file, so on BTP no call resolves through a destination and the keys live in the environment. The npm line stops at 1.0.1 on 3 November 2025; the changelog shipped inside that version is headed v2.1, so the version npm shows and the version the author counts are not the same.
Policy enforcement and field masking for MCP-enabled CAP apps
Tunnels CAP Node.js to a private PostgreSQL via Cloud Connector
CAP database adapter for Snowflake with OData V4 support
The maintainer marks this early development; expect the contract to move.
UI5 frontend performance and error capture for CAP
User details and quickview links for createdBy and modifiedBy
npx tool adding worked example files to a CAP project
Last released April 2024.
Maps classic dictionary tables and fields to CDS entities and fields
No license Neither the package manifest nor the repository tree declares a licence.
Functional boundary Marked BETA and called a first prototype on its own page, which names where it is wrong: when fields are mapped with CAST, CASE, ABS and other CDS functions there may still be errors in the fields, so a mapping that goes through one of those needs checking against the view it came from.
CAP caching plugin for query results and remote service responses
When user-dependent responses are cached without user-aware or explicit operation keys, or translated responses share keys across locales. These cases require key isolation; locale-aware keys are off by default.
Data federation for CAP via delegation, caching and replication
Scheduled READ, MAP, WRITE pipelines between CAP services
Delta deployment and migrations for CAP database adapters
Archived The declared repository is archived.
Functional boundary The repository is archived, so nothing here will move again. Fine to keep where it already runs; anything new should start from what the current cds deploy leaves open rather than from this.
CAP Java plugin for soft delete with a softdelete aspect
No license Neither the package manifest nor the repository tree declares a licence.
Functional boundary The Maven coordinate its README gives, io.github.miyasuta:cds-feature-softdelete:1.0.0, does not resolve on Maven Central as of 2026-09-07 — you build and install it from source.
Feature-toggle pattern for CAP CDS
Last released June 2022 at 0.0.6, and no repository is declared on the package.
CAP-to-CAP data federation over SAP HANA synonyms
When your adoption policy excludes experimental dependencies: the [maintainer’s README](https://github.com/cap-js/cds-federation-synonyms#about-this-project) explicitly labels this plugin experimental.
cds add plugin adding the incidents-app model to a project
MongoDB as a CAP database service through Mongoose
It declares no peer range on [@sap/cds](artifact:sap-cds) and publishes no repository, so there is nothing to read but the package itself and no CI to look at.
MySQL and MariaDB database adapter for CAP
The repository the package declares has been deleted — verified against the GitHub API, not just a failed fetch. The package is still on npm, so it installs; the source it was published from is no longer readable, which is a harder thing to discover than a stale version number.
Fills a CDS element from a database-backed number range
PostgreSQL adapter for SAP CDS from the SAP Mentors community
The declared repository is archived.
CAP plugin turning DELETE into a flag on annotated entities
It changes what DELETE means for every client of the annotated projection, so anything that must actually remove a row — an erasure request, a retention job — has to go around it.
Spreadsheet upload into a CDS entity, parsed on the server
Maps database tables and fields to the CDS views exposing them
Not on the [SAP BTP ABAP environment](artifact:btp-abap-environment) or another cloud ABAP system: the maintainer states the tool is not cloud ready, because the data sources and system tables it reads CDS metadata from are not released for cloud development. It is designed for SAP S/4HANA on-premise or private cloud, and the shipped Fiori application is configured for A4H and developer systems.
Open, versioned style guide for ABAP
Reports Clean Core ATC results per system as Level A to D KPIs
Hosted workspace redrawing custom ABAP as BPMN and grading it
Not reachable Not reachable since 2026-10-20.
Functional boundary The Level A–D grade merges SAP's two published files in the tool's own engine: it is an orientation rather than an ATC result and is left out of the signed audit pack, and the repository documents state by state where the grade is expected to differ from what the clean core ATC check reports. Nothing here runs ABAP Unit — on the RAP track that result is recorded from your own SAP system, and generated CAP tests run against mocks in an isolated runner rather than in a real SAP S/4HANA system. Tenants, organisation accounts, single sign-on, a self-hosted edition and write access through an API are deliberately not built, and one account has five analysis runs before a Gemini API key of its own is needed.
Eclipse plugin linking ABAP transports to SAP Cloud ALM features
An Eclipse installation older than the 2026-03 release, or a Java below 21, cannot take it: both are listed prerequisites, and 2026-03 is named as the oldest release the current ADT installs on. The tenant, region, client ID and client secret are entered per installation in Eclipse preferences, so each developer configures the Cloud ALM connection in their own IDE.
SAP's list of released APIs for SAP Cloud ERP with successors
It is a catalogue of SAP's objects and not a reading of your code: it states that an object is not released, never that you used it, and the finding is the ATC check's. For SAP Cloud ERP Private the files exist for feature pack stack releases only, with no update per support package, so a system between two stacks is checked against its stack's file.
Browser form over SAP's Cloudification Repository for ABAP Cloud
Not for an automated check: the answer arrives as a page in a browser, so a rule that has to run over a codebase, or an agent mid-task, needs the repository as data rather than as a form.
ATC and Code Inspector checks for Clean ABAP
This is the legacy edition, for on-premise systems from SAP_BASIS 7.40. On ABAP Cloud, [the Cloud Edition](artifact:sap-code-pal-for-abap-cloud) is the one that runs.
Clean ABAP check set for ABAP Cloud

CAP Java attachments with database storage and an Object Store module
For deployed environments, the [README](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/cap-java/cds-feature-attachments/302f61c8bb76a0f54f43482ad91d89bf7dc5540f/README.md) excludes the cds-feature-attachments-fs file-system target, which is intended only for local development and testing.

If document versions are required, the [documented restrictions](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/cap-java/sdm/673769f24ef66fd97daa6a6be41262d45065d3fe/README.md) exclude versioned repositories.
Theme, CSS and CSP settings of abap2UI5 pages kept in tables
`APP_TITLE` is not applied by the exit: the `title` field was removed from `z2ui5_if_ui5_exit=>ty_s_http_config` in abap2UI5 1.145.0, so an app that wants it as its browser tab title sets it while it runs. The live theme preview runs the frontend action `THEMING` / `setTheme` and needs UI5 1.118 or later; on an older release a saved theme applies with the next page load. The code is written for ABAP 7.50 and the README states there is no downported 7.02 version, no 702 branch and no workflow that builds one.
Coroutine framework for ABAP with awaitable results
No published releases; repository quiet for 26 months.
Custom Table Editor editing table rows in an editable ALV grid
Release and repository quiet for 80 months.
dbt adapter targeting SAP HANA Cloud as its warehouse
CAP plugin joining external entities with internal tables at query
The declared repository is on SAP's internal GitHub (github.tools.sap) and is not publicly reachable, so npm is the only place to read anything about it.
MCP server for ABAP on the ADT session, in Eclipse or standalone
In the Eclipse mode the server lives in a developer's IDE, binds to 127.0.0.1 and answers any request carrying an `Origin` header with HTTP 403, so a pipeline or a remote agent has nothing to reach; the standalone mode on the runtime of the ADT for VS Code extension is the documented route with no IDE open. A new connection starts in write mode, so the 11 write tools are live against a connected system until someone presses Toggle Read-Only. The dropins route for the two bundles is documented as untested.
