Lists skills, plugins, marketplaces and MCP servers at skills.cloud.sap, filtered by that type, by Platform or Business content, and by whether SAP or a third party published it; the listing read on 2026-10-27 showed 68 results, each with its publisher and the description from its own SKILL.md frontmatter. That description does double duty: it is what the listing shows and what an agent matches a request against, which is why the contribution guidelines ask for it to be specific and trigger-rich. Skill code is not submitted to the library. A contributor lays their public GitHub repository out as skills/<slug>/SKILL.md, opens a registration issue, and a maintainer onboards the repository so it appears on the site; the repository behind the library holds SAP's own entries, aicore-skills and sap-fiori-guidelines among them. Installing goes through the skills CLI: npx skills add SAP/ai-skills-library takes everything in SAP's repository, --skill or --plugin takes one entry, and --list prints what is there.

What it does

Where a skill is found: a listing SAP runs for people to search and install from, onto which a maintainer onboards a contributor's repository. Two cases sit behind it, and they answer this outcome differently. A registered skill's code stays in its author's own public GitHub repository and is not submitted to the library, so an install reads that repository and the library holds no second copy. SAP's own entries are files in the library's own repository, sap-fiori-guidelines and the aicore-skills plugin among them, so there what an install writes is what that repository held that day. Either way, what the listing shows of an entry is the name and the description from its SKILL.md frontmatter.

Remaining work

Read how current an entry is in the repository it points at, and install it again when that moves. The README names install commands and no update command, and neither it nor the contribution guidelines read on 2026-10-27 says when an onboarded repository is re-read.
