Framework for multi-step ABAP processes with monitoring
Only on SAP S/4HANA 2023 and 2025, on premise or private cloud: [SAP S/4HANA Cloud, Public Edition](external:sap-s4hana-cloud-public-edition) and the [SAP BTP ABAP environment](artifact:btp-abap-environment) are listed as coming soon, and a 2023 system has to leave out `ZABAP_PRC_EVENTS_SE_2025`, whose event-based side effects rely on APIs released with S/4HANA 2025. Not for a system that already carries a copy, because object names are global and two versions cannot live side by side, and not for a productive system by way of the `ZABAP_PRC_DEMO*` packages, which the README states are not intended for one and whose init classes delete and rebuild their own tables on every run. While the major version is 0 the public API is not stable: minor bumps carry breaking changes with no deprecation period, so productive use means pinning a tag and reading the CHANGELOG before every upgrade.
ABAP class implementing the Either pattern
No published releases; repository quiet for 25 months.
Result pattern for ABAP instead of exceptions for expected failures
Raises an ABAP exception from a text or the last system message
Release and repository quiet for 26 months.
ABAP classes for calling Azure services from SAP processes
ABAP report that runs Salesforce SOQL queries and exports results
No published releases; repository quiet for 91 months.
ABAP client for Firebase's Realtime Database REST API
No published releases; repository quiet for 95 months.
Cloud-compatible plugin for the abapify Fetch API polyfill
No published releases; repository quiet for 26 months.
Legacy-release Fetch API implementation for outbound HTTP in ABAP
Web service client and connector layer for calling out of ABAP
Quiet No published releases; repository quiet for 28 months.
Functional boundary The maintainer records SSL as a known issue: an SAP Basis problem in older systems that depends on the remote certificate, so a system that cannot carry the remote certificate chain will not complete the call. It is published as free to use at your own risk, with no support statement behind it.
HTTP client for classic on-premise ABAP and ABAP Cloud
No published releases; repository quiet for 32 months.
Puts a number from an abap2UI5 app on a Fiori launchpad tile
There is nothing here for ABAP for Cloud: the requirements name Standard ABAP releases only, and a CDS/SADL based OData service for `ABAP for Cloud` compatibility stands under Limitations & Todo.
ABAP framework for OData services with one class per entity
OData and Gateway shims serving SEGW-style services on Node.js
Local ABAP server serving /IWBEP/ OData v2 without an SAP system
Not a system to run a business application on: there is no business application in it, and what it implements of the language, the dictionary and Gateway is a stated subset of each. It is a clean-room reimplementation of the `/IWBEP/` interfaces that bundles no SAP source and no standard DDIC, so a service that reads standard objects has nothing to read, and `ANORMALIES.md` records every place the runtime differs from SAP before any workaround is written.
ABAP code and slides from a talk on building SAP Gateway services
Swagger UI for SAP NetWeaver Gateway services
No published releases; repository quiet for 49 months.
Generates ABAP client classes and server stubs from OpenAPI
Exposes ABAP class methods as REST services with Swagger UI
No published releases; repository quiet for 47 months.
Eclipse plug-in turning JSON or XML into ABAP types and DDIC objects
On an [SAP BTP ABAP environment](artifact:btp-abap-environment) system only the generated code is left: DDIC creation is not supported on ABAP Cloud, because classic DDIC object creation over REST is not available there. Create DDIC is also disabled where ADT is not installed in the same Eclipse, and Insert into Editor then works with any editor implementing `ITextEditor` instead of the ABAP one.
Configurable CSV reader and writer for ABAP
JSON renderer and parser for ABAP with camelCase conversion
JSON encoder and decoder for ABAP, modelled on Go's encoding/json
No published releases; repository quiet for 49 months.
Protocol Buffers (proto2) implementation in ABAP
JSON parser and serialiser for ABAP with a node tree
Parser of TAB-delimited text into ABAP internal tables and back
Regex RuleSets that read barcode strings into named fields
The project states that until v1.0.0 is reached, breaking changes may occur without prior notice. Rule items do not chain: every rule operates on the original input string, so a format whose second step needs the result of the first needs a custom logic class. A REPLACE rule whose replacement produces the exact same string as the input is reported as `no match`, which the documentation records as a known limitation.
ABAP library generating and parsing JSON strings
No published releases; repository quiet for 90 months.
RFC 4180 CSV parser and generator for ABAP
ABAP-native MCP endpoint that drives opted-in abap2UI5 apps
Stateful apps cannot be operated: a stateful session lives in one HTTP request and an MCP call is one request, so `app_start` refuses them. The repository carries no release yet and states the addon has not been run in production use, the 7.02 downport is lint-only with no 7.02 system having run it, and the ABAP Cloud HTTP service setup is written down but still to verify on your own system.
MCP server SDK written in ABAP
Server side only, and deliberately: the author states there is no realistic way to support the SSE streaming a client needs, so there are no notifications, no `listChanged`, no `subscribe` and no logging. It is also frozen — protocol versions up to 2025-11-25 and no further, with everything after that in a separate V2 SDK, so starting here today is starting on a closed branch.
Stateless ABAP MCP server SDK for the 2026-07-28 protocol draft
Stateless by design: with no `Mcp-Session-Id` and no SSE, notifications of any kind, `resources/subscribe` and stream-close cancellation are excluded, which the author states are protocol-level impossibilities on stateless ICF rather than gaps to be filled later within this design. ABAP Cloud is not supported and not planned, the stated reason being SAP pushing its own MCP strategy and features in BTP; the first iteration targets 7.5x classic, with 7.02 to 7.4x served from a separate generated downport repository. No authorization object and no default auth check are delivered, so a user who may call the ICF node may call every `AREA`/`SERVER` registered under it until `check_authorization` is redefined.
MCP server publishing SAP functions as tools from config tables
Not reachable Not reachable since 2026-10-20.
Functional boundary What it exposes is whatever somebody put in the configuration table, which moves the governance question inside the SAP system and out of the server — an advantage if that table is controlled and a hazard if it is not. The web management interface is a second surface to secure alongside the MCP one.
MCP server for BW/4HANA modelling objects
Its README says it plainly and so does this entry: this is not a simulation, every tool call reaches a live BW system, and write operations produce real changes. BW modelling objects are the definition of a warehouse — the blast radius of a wrong one is every report built on it.
Generates singleton ABAP cache classes from a macro call
No published releases; repository quiet for 26 months.
ABAP component importing XLSX or CSV files into RAP business objects
Office add-in running an abap2UI5 app in Excel's task pane
Upload, edit and download ABAP table content as JSON, CSV or XLSX
Not an end-user app: it reads from any table the user names and writes into tables of the Z/Y namespace, with no authorisation check of its own, so the README asks a project to add its own checks on `S_TABU_DIS`/`S_TABU_NAM` and to restrict who may run it before it is used beyond a development system. XLSX upload and download are not ready for ABAP Cloud yet, and of the upload apps only the JSON one writes the file's rows back to the database.
Maps clipboard, Excel or text data onto a declared ABAP structure
Exports and imports ABAP table content as zipped JSON
Helper methods over abap2xlsx for Excel, JSON and tables
Reader for Excel spreadsheets in OpenXML format from ABAP
No published releases; repository quiet for 81 months.
ABAP class stripping invalid characters in BW end routines
No published releases; repository quiet for 24 months.
Framework for BW transformation start routines from a table
No published releases; repository quiet for 72 months.
Custom Table Editor editing table rows in an editable ALV grid
Release and repository quiet for 80 months.
Table maintenance over HTTP for a table fixed in code
Not for a table whose contents matter, and not for one chosen at run time: the name of the table is fixed in the calling code, and the maintainer's own warning is "only hardcode the table name, don't use with important tables, use at own risk!"
Browser-based table maintenance UI built on abap2UI5
The app writes to whatever table is passed in the URL parameter `table` and carries no authorisation check of its own, so past a development system it needs authorisation checks added and a restriction on who may run it.
Generic ABAP table editor writing its own change documents
ABAP, Python and C code for similarity search over field descriptions
ABAP class for descriptive statistics over an internal table
Utility for update task database changes and internal tables in ABAP
Task tracker on a BOPF-backed CDS view with a Fiori list report

Single-file Handlebars templating for ABAP 7.40 SP02 and up
Standalone PDF generator written in ABAP
Submits an ABAP report to the spool and converts the output to PDF
ABAP class filling a tagged Word .docx template with data
No published releases; repository quiet for 33 months.
Standalone ABAP class drawing PDFs without Adobe Document Server
MQTT 3.1.1 client implemented in ABAP
No published releases; repository quiet for 68 months.
MQTT publish/subscribe in ABAP with an external broker bridge
Quiet No published releases; repository quiet for 75 months.
Functional boundary The maintainer calls the project beta, states there are no experiences with productive usage, and leaves productive use at your own risk. Two further conditions are stated: the implementation used a NetWeaver ABAP stack 7.50 and a 7.40 was not tested, and a system user has to be maintained for the websocket services, because the external websocket tools do not support user-based authorization.
While the major version is 0 the public API is not stable: minor bumps carry breaking changes with no deprecation period, so productive use means pinning a tag and reading the CHANGELOG before every upgrade.
ABAP classes sending push notifications to Mobile Services
No published releases; repository quiet for 54 months.
ABAP helper class building HTML emails from templates
Quiet No published releases; repository quiet for 52 months.
Functional boundary On an SAP S/4HANA system the maintainer points elsewhere: the README calls this solution helpful for non-S/4 systems and names SAP's own e-mail templates with CDS views as what S/4 systems have instead.
RFC-callable ABAP API for SAP data extraction for ADELE
No published releases; repository quiet for 73 months.
Forwards abap2UI5 roundtrips to another system over RFC
For an app that calls `client->set_session_stateful( )`, which needs the ICF session of the system it runs on; apps keeping their state in the draft table, the abap2UI5 default, work unchanged. For an app that reads a request header through the user exit on the source system, because the consumer forwards method, body, path, query string and status, not headers.
No published releases; repository quiet for 63 months.
MCP server for the abap2UI5 check, deploy and run loop
Every gate here runs off-system, so what the class does on a real system and what the view does on the oldest UI5 release it has to serve are what the `pitfalls` catalogues carry and no local run can see. It runs abap2UI5 app classes, so ABAP that is not one has nothing here to deploy into. In system mode the sandbox tools are not offered, and an `app_act` event runs on the system as the configured user.
ABAP ADT MCP server published as an npm scope and plugin
A descendant rather than a distinct idea: if what you need is the ADT surface itself, its ancestors are entered here too and one of them may already be in your stack.
Agentic coding assistant in ABAP that runs as an SAP GUI report
VS Code extension editing ABAP systems over ADT as a filesystem
CLI that pulls and pushes ABAP packages as local files over ADT
A Python 3.10+ CLI, installed with pipx rather than through any SAP-provided package manager. Its own README lists what it does not do yet: where-used, syntax check and unit test runs — for those it says to reach for [ADT/Eclipse](external:eclipse) or an MCP server. First release, v0.1.0, and no standalone LICENSE file in the repository — the MIT grant is in the README and in pyproject.toml's project metadata rather than its own file.
abapGit package adding create, modify and delete tools to ABAP AI Code
MCP connector for ECC and on-premise S/4HANA with a licensed SAP side
Commercial Its maker offers it commercially.
Functional boundary The MIT licence covers the connector only: connecting to SAP needs a licensed ABAPilot backend installed in your system, so this is a commercial decision wearing an open-source badge on one half. Its own published checks did not cover writes, activation, transports or authorisation boundaries.
ABAP MCP server over ADT with a local journal that can undo writes
A system that reports itself productive, or whose role the probe cannot prove non-productive, is write-locked with no override, so changing code in production is not something this does. The permission ladder constrains the package, object name and transport request the server itself passes on a write, and is not a sandbox around ABAP it executes: `abap_run`, `abap_test` and the opt-in `core.eval` run under the connected technical user's SAP authorisations, which is where the boundary actually sits. Data preview, dump variable contents and driving a transaction by batch input stay off in every mode, `admin` included, until each is named explicitly.
Go MCP server that writes, activates and runs ABAP classes via ADT
Not reachable Not reachable since 2026-10-20.
Functional boundary `run_class` executes code in your system — that is the point and it is also the risk.
MCP server over the ADT REST API for ABAP objects
arc-1 extension for reading and maintaining BOPF enhancements
Classic BOPF only: business objects of the ABAP Programming Model for SAP Fiori are not handled, and on [the BTP ABAP environment](artifact:btp-abap-environment) or S/4HANA Public Cloud classic BOPF enhancements do not exist. It is version 0.1.0, verified on S/4HANA 2025 (SAP_BASIS 816) on-premise only, and [arc-1](artifact:arc-mcp-arc-1) still marks the plugin API it is built on as experimental. ARC-1 loads no extensions on its multi-target routes and offers none of these tools in its `hyperfocused` tool mode.
Edition of ARC-1 that runs ADT calls through adt-ls
Single-tenant today, one technical user, with per-user principal propagation on the roadmap — so a shared deployment cannot yet act as the developer who asked. The sibling edition [ARC-1](artifact:arc-mcp-arc-1) speaks ADT directly if you would rather not depend on the language server.
VS Code bridge between arc-1 and ADT for VS Code
The diff holds only while the object is inactive, since after activation the previous version is gone and a watched journal directory is what the maintainer points to instead. It adds no write path of its own: the IDE writes through SAP's extension, and the README states arc-1 can stay on `SAP_ALLOW_WRITES=false`. DDIC metadata files are skipped, because SAP's own stub for them says they are not supported in ABAP development tools for VS Code.
Eclipse add-on enabling the ADT MCP server with read-only tools
It lives inside Eclipse and inherits everything that implies — the session is a developer's, not a pipeline's. And it is version-bound: ADT 3.60 or newer for 0.5.1, with 0.3.x the path for ADT 3.58 and 3.59.
Eclipse plugin bringing Claude into ABAP Development Tools
MCP server for BW/4HANA modelling objects
Its README says it plainly and so does this entry: this is not a simulation, every tool call reaches a live BW system, and write operations produce real changes. BW modelling objects are the definition of a warehouse — the blast radius of a wrong one is every report built on it.
ABAP MCP server with ADT tools and five authentication strategies
Built and last touched in the same week of March 2026, so the maintenance reading is what it is — the authentication work is the reason to look, and a stalled repository is the reason to read it before depending on it.
Claude Code plugin adding Custom_* tools to arc-1
Not for S/4HANA Public Cloud or [the BTP ABAP environment](artifact:btp-abap-environment), where the README states there is no `SUBMIT`, NAST or SOAP-RFC; the floor elsewhere is SAP_BASIS 7.50, the `/sap/bc/soap/rfc` service active, and an SAP user with `S_RFC` on the kit's function group as well as the authorizations for the reports and the spool. Print output is NAST messages only, so S/4 Output Management through BRF+ or APOC is outside it, and editing covers SmartForms alone, with Adobe Forms and SAPscript previewable but not editable. A report that opens a popup, calls a screen or is a dialog transaction cannot be run at all.
Fork of mcp-abap-abap-adt-api with 25 tools and session recovery
Freestyle SQL and `abap_run` mean an agent can read data and execute code, which is well past reading source. Neither is something to grant on a system where the distinction between development tooling and business data matters.
Policy-checked MCP server for ABAP development over ADT
Development and sandbox systems only: the README warns against pointing it at production. Transport release is never executed, since the tool exists to show the policy stopping it, and separation of duties is checked against the `identity.approvers` list in the policy file rather than against SAP authorisations, so it holds as far as that file does and no further. The write path has been tested with ABAP classes and other object types may need adjustments, there is deliberately no tool that creates or deletes an object, and one server instance serves one SAP system.
Write-oriented MCP server over abap-adt-api
Its own README opens by calling the server experimental. It also writes: locking, editing and activating in a system an agent can reach is a permissions decision before it is a tooling one.
Read-oriented MCP server fetching ABAP programs, classes, tables
Every tool its README lists reads — Get and Search, nothing that writes. Locking, editing, activation and transports are the other server, [mcp-abap-abap-adt-api](artifact:mario-andreschak-mcp-abap-adt-api), and mixing the two is how you end up with two MCP servers pointed at one system.
AWS agents for ABAP, PI/PO and BW modernisation work
There is nothing to clone here: "Access is provided through a registration page. Once registered, you will receive access to the GitHub repository containing the agents, deployment guides, and documentation", and that repository answers 404 to anyone who has not registered, so neither the agent code nor the deployment guides can be read before the form is filled in. AWS states the agents are published as an unsupported solution, with customers responsible for testing and securing the code before deploying in production, and that they are intended for non-production SAP environments rather than production systems. The documentation link in the README is still a placeholder.
MCP server calling RFC-enabled function modules behind an allowlist
Real SAP calls need the proprietary [SAP NetWeaver RFC SDK](external:sap-nw-rfc-sdk) and the `pyrfc==3.3.1` release the README calls archived and yanked, on Python 3.11, so without those only the demo backend answers. Not over HTTP as it stands: credentials are read from the environment for stdio, and the README says not to expose the server over HTTP without implementing the MCP authorization specification and deployment-level rate limiting. Multi-tenant auth and RBAC beyond the one server-wide policy, rate limiting, metrics and tracing, and deployment packaging are listed as not built. The result limits protect the client and not the system, since the README states they cannot reduce work already performed inside SAP, and the MCP tool annotations that describe read and write risk are advisory metadata rather than an authorisation boundary, so the service account's `S_RFC` and table authorisations are still what decides.

MCP proxy pinning an agent's ABAP tools to one SAP system
MCP server reading ABAP short dumps over ADT
ADT extension for Eclipse and VS Code showing three SAP GUI tools
ADT-to-MCP bridge in Go reaching past what ADT exposes
Reach is the reason to use it and the reason to be careful: reading cluster tables and spool output goes well past what a development tool is normally pointed at. Decide what an agent may reach before granting it, not after.
Light MCP adapter for ABAP over ADT, documented in Korean
Read-only in practice, and the documentation is Korean; the tool names are English but the guidance around them is not.
LibreChat fork with four SAP MCP servers preconfigured
MCP server for the abap2UI5 check, deploy and run loop
Every gate here runs off-system, so what the class does on a real system and what the view does on the oldest UI5 release it has to serve are what the `pitfalls` catalogues carry and no local run can see. It runs abap2UI5 app classes, so ABAP that is not one has nothing here to deploy into. In system mode the sandbox tools are not offered, and an `app_act` event runs on the system as the configured user.
VS Code extension to preview, activate and lint abap2UI5 apps
The embedded preview needs a system that accepts basic auth: the documentation states that pure SSO or SAML without a basic-auth fallback is not supported, and points at `external` mode, which opens the app in the normal browser with the existing SAP session. On the web only the language half runs; the preview with its proxy, traffic log and screenshot, Ctrl+F3 activation, the render gate, the workspace-wide check and the MCP servers are desktop-only. The agent app tools send nothing until `abap2ui5.agent.enableAppTools` is switched on in User settings, because an event they fire runs as the configured user and changes data on the system for real.
Exposes S/4HANA or ECC OData services as MCP tools
It puts create, update and delete on business entities behind natural language. Whatever the destination's principal may change, an agent may change — and "create a new customer" is a sentence, not a form somebody signed off.
Python MCP server for SAP Gateway OData operations
Python bridge generating MCP tools from OData v2 metadata
OData v2 only, and untouched since August 2025 — the same author's [Go port](artifact:oisee-odata-mcp-go) is where v4 support and the tool-explosion work went.
Go binary bridging any OData v2 or v4 service to MCP
Universal mode trades discoverability for size: one generic tool is harder for a model to pick correctly than a named one, which is why it is not the default. On a small service, standard mode is the better answer.
On ECC the S/4HANA `API_*` services that the three convenience readers default to do not exist, so each one has to be pointed at a Z service of your own or replaced by the RFC tools. `read_table` inherits `RFC_READ_TABLE`'s 512-byte row, so a wide table needs an explicit field list and some fields cannot be selected at all, and the bridge starts a Node process and a fresh logon per call, with no pooling. The audit log is one line per call that includes the call arguments, so every filter and WHERE clause sent to SAP is written to a file that then has to be handled as sensitive.

Benchmark of LLM ABAP code generation against a real SAP system
VS Code extension editing ABAP systems over ADT as a filesystem
Seventeen agent skills for ABAP development
Twenty-two agent skills shipped with arc-1
Every skill that touches ABAP needs [arc-1](artifact:arc-mcp-arc-1) itself connected to a real system; nothing else is universal. `modernize-ui5-app` and `convert-ui5-to-fiori-elements` specifically need [the UI5 MCP server](artifact:ui5-mcp-server) for TypeScript conversion guidance and the linter, `convert-ui5-to-fiori-elements` also needs [the Fiori MCP server](artifact:sap-ux-fiori-mcp-server) for its LROP scaffold, and `modernize-ui5-app` needs a browser MCP (Claude in Chrome or Claude's own Preview) for its final render-verification step, since an HTTP 200 alone does not catch a blank page. A skill file alone, without the servers a given skill needs, has nothing to act on.
Five ABAP workflows for Claude Code on existing MCP servers
Claude Code plugin adding Custom_* tools to arc-1
Not for S/4HANA Public Cloud or [the BTP ABAP environment](artifact:btp-abap-environment), where the README states there is no `SUBMIT`, NAST or SOAP-RFC; the floor elsewhere is SAP_BASIS 7.50, the `/sap/bc/soap/rfc` service active, and an SAP user with `S_RFC` on the kit's function group as well as the authorizations for the reports and the spool. MCP proxy pinning an agent's ABAP tools to one SAP system
Runbook skills for Basis operations at the OS and database layer
The commands it writes stop production systems, delete data and import transports, which is why execution is deliberately somebody else's decision. BTP and cloud operations are explicitly out of scope and planned as a separate plugin.
Rust CLI and desktop app for exploring SAP OData services
Its README calls it early-stage — the core workflows run end-to-end against real systems and packaging, documentation and polish are stated as still evolving. A Rust binary rather than an npm install, so the platform build matters.
Claude Code plugin with an ABAP MCP server and write guards
It is a plugin for one server — its own — so it is a stack rather than a component. And the guard is only as good as the profile labels: a production system registered as `DEV` is a production system with the safety off.
Starter repository for an abap2UI5 app with CI and agent setup
B-Tocs ABAP SDK plugin connecting to Ollama models
No published releases; repository quiet for 28 months.
ABAP client with one interface to chat-completion LLM APIs

ABAP library for calling Azure OpenAI and OpenAI
No published releases; repository quiet for 29 months.
ABAP framework for chaining and orchestrating LLM calls
ABAP report sending a prompt to a local LLM via an SM59 destination
Vector database implemented in ABAP for document chunk retrieval
Hub on SAP BTP putting several arc-1 instances behind one login
Archived The declared repository is archived.
Functional boundary With one SAP system the README says to point the client at that arc-1 directly. Version 1 exchanges tokens within a single subaccount, so backends spread across subaccounts are out; it keeps its session map in memory, so more than one instance needs sticky sessions or a shared store. It routes deterministically and runs no model, which is a different thing from an assistant that reasons across systems. The `/all` endpoint drops the per-connection isolation, and the maintainer's answer to that is a PROD backend set read-only at the SAP end rather than a tool surface that hides the writes.
Skill assessing API usage against the SAP API Policy
It says so itself, in bold, and the atlas repeats it: not legal advice and not a compliance decision. Only SAP, your contract, or SAP support can answer bindingly, and the skill routes legal, commercial and roadmap questions there rather than guessing at them. Treat the output as evidence gathered, not as a verdict.
Claude Code plugin with an ABAP MCP server and write guards
It is a plugin for one server — its own — so it is a stack rather than a component. And the guard is only as good as the profile labels: a production system registered as `DEV` is a production system with the safety off.

Updater for root CAs in SAP NetWeaver from Mozilla's certificate store
Not where the system must not trust whatever the source trusts: the README states that you must trust the source, currently Mozilla, because the system can then reach every website holding a certificate generated by a root CA that source supplies. It installs those root CAs automatically, and the maintainer marks the tool use at own risk.
OpenPGP implementation in ABAP, scoped to signing
Not for anything important, which is the maintainer's own instruction: the README's Warning section calls it stupid to write your own encryption or PGP library, says abapPGP will most certainly contain severe bugs, and points instead at established PGP software such as [OpenPGP](http://openpgp.org/). Signing is the only scope it states.
