Agent plugin on the SAP Design System and theming parameters
Knowledge about theming, not a theme build: nothing here compiles a theme or deploys one, and it says nothing about a custom control's own parameters.
Agent skill generating a Joule Frontend Actions bridge for UI5 apps
Release and repository quiet for 36 months.
Release and repository quiet for 37 months.
VS Code extension to serve, proxy, build and deploy UI5 projects
Two agent skills for accessibility and styling of web components
Two skills, narrowly scoped: nothing here scaffolds an application or answers what a component's API is — that is [@ui5/webcomponents-mcp-server](artifact:ui5-webcomponents-mcp-server), which reads the same library's documentation.
SAPUI5 library generating OData V2 metadata-based dialogs and pages
Release and repository quiet for 26 months.
UI5 custom control wrapping Chart.js for line charts
UI5 custom control rendering Markdown to HTML
Release and repository quiet for 38 months.
UI5 custom control rendering a PDF from a base64 data URI
Quiet Release and repository quiet for 41 months.
Functional boundary The case it is written for is a document that has not been uploaded; anything already served from a URL is what the framework's own PDF control takes. Passing a document as a data URI means holding it in the page as a string first, which is a different cost from streaming it from a server.

Release and repository quiet for 39 months.
Chrome extension generating OPA5 or wdi5 tests from recorded journeys
Hosted app listing changes between SAPUI5 or OpenUI5 versions
No license Neither the package manifest nor the repository tree declares a licence.
Functional boundary It reports what the change log says, not what your application uses, so it cannot tell you which of the listed changes touches your code. The repository carries no licence file, which leaves the code itself with no grant attached even though the hosted app is open to use.
UI5 control library wrapping C3.js charts as ui5.viz controls
On the second installation path there is no dependency to upgrade: the README states that for option b) all manual steps must be repeated every time the library version is updated.
UI5 CLI middleware proxying the dev server through @sap/approuter
UI5 CLI middleware running a CDS server inside the UI5 dev server
UI5 Tooling middleware proxying destinations and neo-app.json routes
Quiet Release and repository quiet for 75 months.
Functional boundary It supports Basic Authentication only, so a backend that needs another method is not reachable through it.
Experimental UI5 middleware for hot module replacement
UI5 middleware syncing interactions across browsers over websocket
UI5 middleware serving a chosen welcome page at the root path
Live reload middleware for the UI5 dev server
UI5 middleware recording OData traffic as mock server datasets
It records what the app actually asked for, so an entity no recorded journey touched is not in the dataset and replay will not answer for it. Its own README asks for `fiori-tools-appreload` to be disabled while recording, because a reload loop is what happens otherwise.
UI5 dev server middleware adding an OpenID Connect login
UI5 middleware logging in with Playwright and reusing the session
UI5 server middleware proxying route prefixes to a backend
Release and repository quiet for 36 months.
UI5 middleware serving a locally built UI5 framework

UI5 builder task cachebusting standalone UI5 applications
UI5 builder task preparing build output for the cachebuster
Release and repository quiet for 66 months.
UI5 build task warning when the app's UI5 version reaches EOCP
The version list comes from ui5.sap.com, so a build that cannot reach it has nothing to match the project's version against. It checks the version written in `ui5.yaml`; a framework version a deployed app loads from elsewhere is outside what it sees.

UI5 control library of sized sap.m controls and touch inputs
UI5 control library for file upload and download in front of CAP
Custom UI5 Web Components bundle loaded with one script tag
UI5 plugins for coding agents
Guidance, not access: these are instructions handed to an agent, and what the agent can then read of your project comes from [@ui5/mcp-server](artifact:ui5-mcp-server) or the editor. A modernisation workflow that runs autonomously across a codebase is also a thing to point at a branch rather than at main.
SAPUI5 extension for Visual Studio Code
Its README assumes a `manifest.json` with an app ID, JavaScript files that start with `sap.ui.define`, and access to ui5.sap.com to preload the standard library metadata. It says of TypeScript that ts-morph, its parser there, has drawbacks, and that not all linters work for TypeScript.
Command-line linter for UI5 classes, XML views and i18n files
Two of its JavaScript and TypeScript checks, EventTypeLinter and WrongNamespaceLinter, apply to TypeScript projects only.
npm library parsing SAPUI5 and project UI5 class metadata
A project nested inside another is not parsed: its README says nested projects are not supported any more. A library installed from npm is read only when it ships its `-dbg.js` files and `manifest.json`.
UI5 library of eight composite controls under the ui5x namespace
The README states that UI5X is in early development and that APIs may change before version 1.0. Styling covers the `sap_horizon` and `sap_fiori_3` families with their dark and high-contrast variants; any other theme falls back to the base theme.

Command-line checker for abap2UI5 app classes and their views
Event roundtrips and visual fidelity stay with a live run: the documentation leaves those to the project's MCP server and to [abap2UI5 for VS Code](artifact:abap2ui5-vscode-extension). A class that builds view parts in helper methods without the handle idiom cannot be statically reconstructed, and the render gate is then skipped with a notice while the property gate runs on what was reconstructed. A screenshot is not a preview of the app: nothing round-trips, no event reaches ABAP, and a table filled by a SELECT photographs empty unless a mock JSON file sits beside the source.
MCP server for the abap2UI5 check, deploy and run loop
Every gate here runs off-system, so what the class does on a real system and what the view does on the oldest UI5 release it has to serve are what the `pitfalls` catalogues carry and no local run can see. It runs abap2UI5 app classes, so ABAP that is not one has nothing here to deploy into. In system mode the sandbox tools are not offered, and an `app_act` event runs on the system as the configured user.
Parser for ABAP CDS DDL source with a typed AST
Transpiles ABAP to JavaScript to run on Node.js
TypeScript SDK over SAP's headless adt-ls language server
What adt-ls cannot do headless the maintainer puts out of scope, so a consumer that needs an ADT call the language server does not expose is back to speaking ADT itself. The README states the current runtime compatibility as verified on macOS arm64, against adt-ls 1.1.2 as the minimum and `1.1.2.202608131517` as the version tested. An Eclipse installation does not supply that runtime: SAP versions the two separately, so the VS Code extension has to be installed even where nobody opens VS Code.
ABAP ADT MCP server published as an npm scope and plugin
A descendant rather than a distinct idea: if what you need is the ADT surface itself, its ancestors are entered here too and one of them may already be in your stack.
Library for managing ABAP constants from registered sources
Quiet No published releases; repository quiet for 41 months.
Functional boundary Not in a production environment yet: the maintainer puts abaK in beta, says its API can still change and more tests are needed, and asks that a non-beta release be waited for.
AWS's ABAP MCP server for Amazon Q Developer and Kiro
Written for Amazon Q Developer and Kiro, and the central deployment path is ECS Fargate — the further you are from AWS, the more of it is scaffolding you do not need. Python rather than the Node most of this group uses. Its README says the repository is no longer maintained and that the latest version of ABAP Accelerator is shared after registering with AWS for [Modernization Agents for SAP on AWS](https://github.com/aws-for-sap/Modernization-Agents-for-SAP-on-AWS).
Agentic coding assistant in ABAP that runs as an SAP GUI report
SAP reuse library for calling large language models from ABAP
Eclipse plug-in turning JSON or XML into ABAP types and DDIC objects
On an [SAP BTP ABAP environment](artifact:btp-abap-environment) system only the generated code is left: DDIC creation is not supported on ABAP Cloud, because classic DDIC object creation over REST is not available there. Create DDIC is also disabled where ADT is not installed in the same Eclipse, and Insert into Editor then works with any editor implementing `ITextEditor` instead of the ABAP one.
Eclipse plugin showing the call hierarchy of ABAP members
Modelling layer of ABAP Cloud above database tables
Nothing to choose here and nothing to install: it is what an ABAP Cloud system gives you. It shares a name and a lineage with CAP's CDS but is a different language in a different runtime, and a model does not move between them.
Eclipse plugin searching ABAP sources from the search dialog
On a system below ABAP 7.51, or one without a connected HANA database, the client-based mode does not run, and the server-based mode is only available where the abap-code-search-tools backend is installed in the system.
Configurable CSV reader and writer for ABAP

VS Code extension editing ABAP systems over ADT as a filesystem
ABAP classes for calling Azure services from SAP processes
Eclipse plugin for ABAP object search and CDS view analysis
On a system where the abap-search-tools backend is not installed: the plugin lists it as a precondition, and the beta update site expects that backend's dev branch in particular.
Converts classic Open SQL SELECTs to released CDS entities
In beta by its own page's account, where conversion bugs may occur and not all functions and variants are supported yet. The shapes named as not yet supported are sub selects, FOR ALL ENTRIES, functions such as count and sum, and the IN operator with a value list, so a statement built on one of those is outside what the converter sets out to do.
ABAP component importing XLSX or CSV files into RAP business objects
ABAP class for descriptive statistics over an internal table
VS Code syntax highlighting for .abap files
Quiet No published releases; repository quiet for 27 months.
Functional boundary It binds to the .abap and .ABAP file extensions inside Visual Studio Code, so it does nothing for ABAP opened in another editor, or for source read from a system over ADT instead of from a file on disk.
