Business-level metrics from CDS annotations via @cap-js/telemetry
Transactional processing of asynchronous and periodic CAP events
If you need sub-second fan-out to external consumers this is the wrong layer — reach for [Event Mesh](artifact:btp-event-mesh) or Kafka. Without [Redis](external:redis), periodic processing still works but instant dispatch degrades to polling.
Exposes a CAP service as OData V2
WebSocket and Socket.IO adapter for CDS services
CAP integration with SAP Integration Suite advanced event mesh
CDS plugin for building agents inside a CAP service
Not as a gateway or proxy for SAP Application APIs: capire's guide states that CAP-level agents are intended only for exposing custom CAP application services and are not an SAP-endorsed architecture or pathway for agentic access to those APIs, and sends the reader to the SAP Architecture Center for the endorsed routes. Not as the screen a user of the application talks to, either — the chat preview in the generic index.html page is marked experimental and for local development.
Value-help recommendations and SAP AI Core as a CAP service
Exports AsyncAPI documents for a CAP service's events
CAP Node.js attachments with database, S3, Azure or GCP storage
CAP integration with the SAP Audit Log service
Change history for annotated CAP entities
Connects a running CAP application to the CAP console
Inspects database entities and contents at CAP service level
CAP integration with SAP Data Privacy Integration
Consumes events from SAP Cloud Application Event Hub in CAP
GraphQL protocol adapter generated from the CDS model
SAP HANA database service for CAP
Exposes CAP services as MCP servers for AI agents
SAP prohibits gateway/proxy use for SAP Application APIs; the Atlas applies that prohibition to CAP wrappers around those APIs. Data changes require application-defined unbound actions, and the adapter supplies no rate limiting, agent-action audit logging, approval workflows or policy enforcement. In beta, with nine releases in the six weeks after the first, so pin it.
Triggers n8n workflows from a CAP application
Business notifications from CAP to SAP Build WorkZone
Generates OpenAPI documents from a CDS service
Generates Open Resource Discovery documents from a CAP model
PostgreSQL database service for CAP
CAP attachments stored in an SAP Document Management repository
If document versions are required, [@cap-js/sdm](artifact:cap-js-sdm) excludes versioned repositories in its [documented restrictions](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/cap-js/sdm/ad13b61f21816ebead2d08264a74521cfb75846c/README.md).
SQLite database service for CAP, in memory during development
OpenTelemetry instrumentation for CAP services
Annotation-driven mail on CAP entity lifecycle events
Node below 22, or [@sap/cds](artifact:sap-cds) below 9: the package declares the first in engines and the second as a peer dependency. Any mail path other than Microsoft Graph, until a provider is written for it: graph is the only kind that sends, and basic, the kind configured by default, is the base class such a provider extends.
LangGraph Store keeping agent memory as CDS entities
LangGraph checkpointer backed by CDS for CAP agents
MCP server inside a CAP application with model and query tools
Copy of @cap-js/notifications published under another scope
Reach for the original unless you know why you are not. This is a republished copy rather than a fork with a direction of its own: the README points at cap-js/notifications for the details, and nothing here says what was changed or why.
CAP plugin casting read values back to CDS model types
CAP plugin stripping whitespace from strings on write via @cds.trim
CAP plugin uppercasing strings on write via @cds.uppercase
CAP plugin serving the Cardano blockchain as OData V4
CAP plugin indexing the Midnight blockchain, exposed as OData V4
Authorization from DCL policies for Node.js apps on SAP Cloud Identity
WebAssembly sandbox for tenant-specific extension code in CAP
CAP service kind putting eleven model providers behind one API
Vector storage and similarity search on SAP HANA from CAP
UI5 web interface for an agent built in a CAP service
Not where the agent is reached over anything other than A2A: the README states the plugin does not speak anything other than A2A as @cap-js/agents serves it. Not where an upgrade has to be uneventful either — it pins @cap-js/agents to exactly 0.9.1, calls that package pre-1.0 and days old at the time of writing, and says this plugin inherits that instability and to expect breakage on upgrade.
CAP Node.js attachments plugin with database or cloud storage
Playback-only SAP Companion (Help4) workarea served from CAP
Not behind a managed approuter: SAP Build Work Zone does not expose the `/$companion/**` routes, so Companion never reaches CAP, and the README names managed approuter and Work Zone as out of scope for v1. Not where help has to be authored in a browser, since the editor, the producer and writes are absent and content lives in files the plugin compiles.
Policy enforcement and field masking for MCP-enabled CAP apps
Tunnels CAP Node.js to a private PostgreSQL via Cloud Connector
CAP caching plugin for query results and remote service responses
When user-dependent responses are cached without user-aware or explicit operation keys, or translated responses share keys across locales. These cases require key isolation; locale-aware keys are off by default.
Data federation for CAP via delegation, caching and replication
Scheduled READ, MAP, WRITE pipelines between CAP services
CAP-to-CAP data federation over SAP HANA synonyms
When your adoption policy excludes experimental dependencies: the [maintainer’s README](https://github.com/cap-js/cds-federation-synonyms#about-this-project) explicitly labels this plugin experimental.
UI5 CLI middlewares running inside the CDS server
For a deployed application's UI. The README adds it with `npm add cds-plugin-ui5 -D`, a development dependency of the CDS server, and states nothing about a build or a deployment.
Swagger UI for a CAP service's OpenAPI definition
CDS plugin and UI5 controls for AI text features via SAP AI Core
It is text processing, not an agent: there is no tool calling, no retrieval and no conversation. It needs SAP AI Core, and the backend half needs [@sap-ai-sdk/orchestration](artifact:sap-ai-sdk-orchestration) installed alongside it — an optional peer, so a frontend-only install stays lean.
Serves a Vite app through cds watch and imports .cds files
Command-line checker for abap2UI5 app classes and their views
Event roundtrips and visual fidelity stay with a live run: the documentation leaves those to the project's MCP server and to [abap2UI5 for VS Code](artifact:abap2ui5-vscode-extension). A class that builds view parts in helper methods without the handle idiom cannot be statically reconstructed, and the render gate is then skipped with a notice while the property gate runs on what was reconstructed. A screenshot is not a preview of the app: nothing round-trips, no event reaches ABAP, and a table filled by a SELECT photographs empty unless a mock JSON file sits beside the source.
Compares a CAP project's CSV data with its database rows
CLI for operating tenants of multitenant CAP applications
CLI of CAP development tools for Cloud Foundry workflows
There is no repository and no README: what the eight commands do is only readable from the compiled dist that ships in the package. Three of them — npmrc, install, project — are written for "SimpleMDG" projects rather than for CAP generally, so the reusable part is bind-local, run-local and debug. Seven releases up to July 2026. Its binding step writes the resolved VCAP_SERVICES into default-env.json in the project, where [@sap/cds-dk](artifact:sap-cds-dk) keeps only the place the credentials can be fetched from, so a project using it needs that file kept out of version control.

CLI for the SAP BTP Application Frontend service
Command line client and development toolkit for CAP
CLI for Joule digital assistants and Joule Studio solutions
Pro-code CLI for building and deploying Joule Studio solutions
CLI to build, deploy, migrate and validate MDK projects
Specific to MDK metadata projects — nothing here builds or deploys a CAP service or a plain Fiori app. Closed-source, under SAP's own developer licence rather than a public repository.

Static end-to-end tracer of one CAP operation across repositories
SQLTools connection from a Cloud Foundry app's HANA binding
Rule-based checker for SAPUI5 and OpenUI5 projects
Not in a project whose dependencies must all carry an open-source licence: KAEV is proprietary software, its licence page states that downloading or viewing the npm package does not by itself grant permission to use, copy, modify, redistribute, sublicense, sell, host or create derivative works, and the LICENSE file shipped with the package carries the controlling terms. Not as the last word on whether a UI5 application is secure: its rule reference states that a heuristic finding is not proof of a vulnerability, and its documentation puts professional security review beside it rather than under it.
UI5 Tooling command line for project setup, dev server and build
Static analysis tool for UI5 projects
CLI that pulls and pushes ABAP packages as local files over ADT
A Python 3.10+ CLI, installed with pipx rather than through any SAP-provided package manager. Its own README lists what it does not do yet: where-used, syntax check and unit test runs — for those it says to reach for [ADT/Eclipse](external:eclipse) or an MCP server. First release, v0.1.0, and no standalone LICENSE file in the repository — the MIT grant is in the README and in pyproject.toml's project metadata rather than its own file.
Static analysis for ABAP source outside a system
PowerShell wizard installing Eclipse with ADT and plugins
Windows only, with PowerShell 7 (`pwsh`) installed; the run needs access to `download.eclipse.org`, `tools.hana.ondemand.com`, `eclipse.devepos.com` and the update site of every plugin selected, from the machine it installs on. A plugin outside the catalog is installed only after someone adds its update site and feature group id to `catalog.json`.
Shows which feature branches reached which environment branch
A team that does not keep one long-lived branch per environment has no environment branches for it to compare feature branches against. What it reports is the merge state of branches in Git, so it says nothing about whether a merged change has been built or deployed to the environment.
Developer-centric command line for SAP HANA
CLI adding SAP developer knowledge and MCP servers to AI coding tools
Command line running UI5 QUnit and OPA tests in parallel
Native iOS and Android shell for one abap2UI5 endpoint
Java Swing tool maintaining Partner Directory entries for the Pipeline
Rust CLI and desktop app for exploring SAP OData services
Its README calls it early-stage — the core workflows run end-to-end against real systems and packaging, documentation and polish are stated as still evolving. A Rust binary rather than an npm install, so the platform build matters.
Local desktop workspace for AI conversations with SAP connectors
Machine-readable catalogue of SAP BTP pay-as-you-go services
Sources of capire, the CAP documentation
API documentation extracted from SAP-published npm packages
ABAP syntax cheat sheets with executable demo classes

Yeoman meta-generator for scaffolding UI5 projects
Easy-UI5 generator for a TypeScript Fiori launchpad plugin
VS Code Multi-Target Application tools
OData annotation features for the @sap/vscode-cds extension
CDS language support for VS Code and Business Application Studio
Eclipse plug-in turning JSON or XML into ABAP types and DDIC objects
On an [SAP BTP ABAP environment](artifact:btp-abap-environment) system only the generated code is left: DDIC creation is not supported on ABAP Cloud, because classic DDIC object creation over REST is not available there. Create DDIC is also disabled where ADT is not installed in the same Eclipse, and Insert into Editor then works with any editor implementing `ITextEditor` instead of the ABAP one.
VS Code extension editing ABAP systems over ADT as a filesystem
VS Code extension to preview, activate and lint abap2UI5 apps
The embedded preview needs a system that accepts basic auth: the documentation states that pure SSO or SAML without a basic-auth fallback is not supported, and points at `external` mode, which opens the app in the normal browser with the existing SAP session. On the web only the language half runs; the preview with its proxy, traffic log and screenshot, Ctrl+F3 activation, the render gate, the workspace-wide check and the MCP servers are desktop-only. The agent app tools send nothing until `abap2ui5.agent.enableAppTools` is switched on in User settings, because an event they fire runs as the configured user and changes data on the system for real.
Eclipse plugin bringing Claude into ABAP Development Tools
SAP CDS language support for IntelliJ IDEA
Eclipse plugin linking ABAP transports to SAP Cloud ALM features
An Eclipse installation older than the 2026-03 release, or a Java below 21, cannot take it: both are listed prerequisites, and 2026-03 is named as the oldest release the current ADT installs on. The tenant, region, client ID and client secret are entered per installation in Eclipse preferences, so each developer configures the Cloud ALM connection in their own IDE.
Collection of ABAP Development Tools IDE Actions
VS Code extension to serve, proxy, build and deploy UI5 projects
ADT extension for Eclipse and VS Code showing three SAP GUI tools
VS Code syntax highlighting for .tabl.ddic table definitions
It declares a VS Code engine and binds to the .tabl.ddic file extension, so it does nothing for a table definition opened in another editor, or read from a system rather than from a file on disk.
